I tried the admit site, but had no luck

This happens pretty frequently late at night/early in the morning, and right before they update your status for the next day. I wouldn't read into it too much, its happened to me multiple times and I don't have a decision.

also, this is a pretty pathetic demonstration of just how often I check my Michigan status checker.

Hmm, actually looking back on the thread, I can't find any information supporting that, except my own posts. I think I misconstrued someone saying that the next wave of checkers was coming on a certain Wednesday for "they're only released on Wednesdays." Sorry for the mislead

i have not received a confirmation email that they received my application and I sent it a day ago...

You may not get one for a few days. I submitted 11/08 (Monday) and didn't get one until 11/12 (Friday).

I submitted on the 15th. confirmation on the 18th. Still no checker email yet.

I was told over the phone a week or two ago that status checkers were only sent on Wednesday. I tried to pry the release time from the person, but she didn't know it. Fortunately, I received mine that Wednesday. Sorry to folks who are still waiting!

Thanks for the confirmation. Too bad this also confirms I actually will be waiting 4 weeks for a checker though. But then again I guess I wouldn't really get anything out of seeing "Complete" over and over.

You may not get one for a few days. I submitted 11/08 (Monday) and didn't get one until 11/12 (Friday).

Also submitted a few days ago (11/28), and just got my confirmation today that my application was received.

Eh I wouldn't say that your status checker necesarrily correlates with app progress. I've gotten them from a few schools where something has been recorded in them (like a complete or UR status) on a date before I received it...

And no I still haven't gotten a status checker. Getting very close to a month from submission...

With Michigan, I'm fairly sure they don't review your app until you get the status checker.

It took me a full three weeks to get a status checker, and by that time, my application had already been complete for 2 weeks (I called the admissions office worried around the 15th because I applied ED and was worried that I hadn't made the deadline). I applied the 1st, the admissions office said that it was complete on the 8th, and got my status checker the 24th. So, don't worry, you'll get your status checker soon!!
