Since their twitter says they release decisions in date order, my guess is that they will starting releasing all decisions (accept, reject, WL) tomorrow. Yes, I know this truimphs U Chicago precedent. Good luck everyone!

I actually don't think there's a consensus. I, for one, think there are way too many 1/7 people for us all to have decisions. I guess we'll know soon, but I highly doubt that is the case.

In an effort to make our decision notification procedures consistent with our paperless admissions process, we issue our decisions electronically. We believe that this approach will allow for the most efficient communication with our applicants (in an environmentally conscious manner). Admitted applicants will receive a telephone call (unless the applicant's records indicate that he or she is abroad at the time) and an email followed by an official paper letter and information through regular mail. Waitlisted and denied applicants will be notified of those decisions by email only. In addition, each applicant's status and a record of the communications sent to them will be updated on the online status checker after a decision has been issued. The Admissions Office sends all emails to the email address provided on your application.

Does anyone know when ED decisions started coming out that day? Morning or afternoon?

Answering my own question: apparently they twittered that day that decisions would start coming out mid-afternoon. The tweet was posted sometime between noon~1pm EST. Apparently last year too they tweeted just before releasing decisions. TLS started reporting calls right after 2pm EST.

pretty sure he/she didn't mean that they got a call today. they were just saying they got an email and their parents got a call when they were abroad.
