I got in with 167/3.49 with great softs. I think the softs matter a lot, as does a good LSAT.

My numbers aren't as strong as yours so I'm hoping my softs help. I just don't know what are considered great softs. I mean, I like my softs, but I have NO idea how they compare to people who have really good softs or even which ones will matter.

What are some of your more significant softs, in your opinion?

You should write them a nice letter and print it on 100% cotton paper telling affirming your interest in BC, why you want to go there, and what you will contribute to the class. Highlight some of your significant softs and the qualities of character they helped you forge...ones you didn't already write about.

Anyone else who was an EA applicant that was put on hold receive their decision in the mail yet? I wasn't expecting anything until at least February but I have a "decision rendered." Trying to get a feel of when they were sent out.

165, 3.33, pretty good softs. I haven't actually received anything in the mail yet. It was off my radar since I was put on hold. I randomly checked today and the status box was changed.

I live in the Brighton section of Boston, so once they send it out it shouldn't be too long to get there. Here's hoping for tomorrow.

If you look back a couple of pages, I posted that my status had changed to Decision Rendered - 12/8 (this was not my complete date or when my hold letter was sent). I think a couple others had it change from "us mail - sent blah blah blah" to Decision Rendered, but nothing came of it.

Does it say Decision Rendered with today's date?

Mine currently just says "Decision Rendered" with no date. Today was the first time I checked it since the New Year.

I hadn't checked my status checker since mid-December, when it said Decision Mailed - US mail etc., etc. I was held for further review (until Feb. 26 I think it was).

Now it says "Decision Status: Decision Rendered, Decision Status Date: 12/8/2009".

Is this what other people who were held have?

Yes, I was held for further review too, and that's the same thing I have on my status checker.

This is what I have:
Current Status: Your application has been completed.
Current Status Date: 11/20/2009
Decision Status: Decision Rendered
Decision Status Date: 12/8/2009

No - I decided it was just a status checker change, not an actual decision. I don't know what the significance of 12/8. Maybe that's the date of my initial review before being put on hold. I submitted before EA deadline and was complete by 11/12.
