I would ask for a skype/ phone interviewWatchClosely wrote:Sorry for asking a question which has probably been addressed previously. GULC claims the interview is "optional, and non-participation will not negatively impact your application." According to the general consensus on TLS, is that true, or would declining to interview be a major error? I believe my numbers ought to be competitive even without interviewing (2.9, 179).

Same situation over here! Someone please help! Idk if my stats are necessary for help, but I am a reverse splitter (3.93, 164).violinguy27 wrote:Anyone know the probability of getting accepted after having your decision postponed (by email)? I've been going through previous year's threads and can't seem to find any info. Should I submit a LOCI? It's not technically a waitlist so I don't want to overdo it.

I turned down my interview for location reasons - just said that it wasn't feasible for me as (explain) but I would love the opportunity to interview if there became an opportunity to do it from a distance or in my location. They responded and said that it was totally fine and they would let me know if an opportunity arose. I was accepted a couple weeks later in the first decision wave.WatchClosely wrote:Sorry for asking a question which has probably been addressed previously. I'm not entirely sure Georgetown does date updates? I don't believe I ever got one. Just complete then mail when a decision is made.candidlatke wrote:anyone else stuck at completed?

I would try my best to interview for sure. After interviewing, I felt like there was a huge emphasis on how getting to know candidates just that much more really tips the scales in their favor.barkschool wrote:I would ask for a skype/ phone interviewWatchClosely wrote:Sorry for asking a question which has probably been addressed previously. It doesn't. I was accepted last week and my checker hasn't changed since it went complete.PrincessUnikitty wrote:I'm not entirely sure Georgetown does date updates? I don't believe I ever got one. Just complete then mail when a decision is made.candidlatke wrote:anyone else stuck at completed?

We might want to brush up on our critical reading. LSATs were so long ago.lymenheimer wrote:Literally one page back:mdnyc wrote:It doesn't. Can't really tell if that's a comment on me, or a genuine comment for "we", those people who don't read through the thread.cecrum wrote:We might want to brush up on our critical reading. Did anyone else have to wait a very long time to hear back from an alumni for an interview? I sent my acceptance of the interview information to them last Thursday, and I have heard nothing from them or any alumni. Is this bad? Do people that take longer to be responded to get waitlisted? Did they forget about me?

I waited for about 10 days before the Admissions office reached out to me again and said they had to find a new alumni in my area. Took about 3 days thereafter. Hang in there!johnclaudio1010 wrote:Did anyone else have to wait a very long time to hear back from an alumni for an interview? Nah, don't worry about it. I waited a bit for mine. Turned out it was logistics on their end.sudijajd wrote:I waited for about 10 days before the Admissions office reached out to me again and said they had to find a new alumni in my area. I'm like 65% sure my Mailings box has gotten slightly bigger since I checked a few days ago.

I understand people are anxious, but I don't understand people trying to draw conclusions from this mailings box lol.Mrs Featherbottom wrote:I'm like 65% sure my Mailings box has gotten slightly bigger since I checked a few days ago.

Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
I received my acceptance letter to the part-time division today and it seems like GULC's admissions timelines are pretty much identical for both divisions. Here's how my admissions process worked out for those who want to compare their progress:
- Complete at the very beginning of November,
- Group interview at the very end of November where they told us we'd hear back in two weeks, and
- Acceptance letter was postmarked December 7.
