Held as well, I wonder if the additional interview will be about the same as their first interview. Anyone have experience with it and would like to share?

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure all the hold candidates got the interview request. The email just didn't arrive right awaylawyersHATEhim wrote:Is a hold + interview request better than a regular hold?

Does that mean I'm still in the running for money? I'd love to attend Northwestern, but not at sticker, and I interpreted the hold as "too much of a flight risk for regular admission, but not good enough for a big scholarship."James.K.Polk wrote:Well, Northwestern hasn't awarded any scholarships besides the ED thing (150k, but close enough to full)... Still, I'm sure in your case it's a YP. If you want to get in, I'm told a LOCI can't hurt. Good luck!RZ5646 wrote:That's exactly the point. They're rejecting strong applicants because they think they'll just go to better schools, and everyone they admit who doesn't attend hurts their ranking. It's called yield protection. Held w/ an interview request. Were there folks who were held w/o an interview request?

So I'm jumping in to say: in the subject line of the interview request it says "interview program for hold applicants"
safe to say everyone that is on "hold" got this invitation.

That I don't know. Your numbers probably are good enough for a big scholly - I have no idea how this 'hold' works, though. I'm over 75 on LSAT but below 25 on GPA, and candidly the financial aid office told me I was a 'strong applicant' for money. Who knows if that will come to fruition - it'll be the first week of March, if tradition holds. But I wouldn't stress it too much yet.RZ5646 wrote:Does that mean I'm still in the running for money? Still complete (no decision either way then). Way above 75th LSAT and pretty much at 75th GPA. When did you guys go complete? I'm sitting at 12/30.

It was very standard, it felt more like a job interview than any school interview I ever experienced to be honest; strengths, weaknesses, working with others, current employment, interests, why law, etc.. Also, after conferring with friends, but I think every school probably asks this, we all got asked "why northwestern," so have an answer for that in your pocket.pgordon528 wrote:I am interviewing for the first time on monday and am very nervous. Has anyone gone through the hold interview yet? If so, any idea what to expect?
How is it different from the standard, initial interview?

Right there with you. Similar stats, and I went complete 12/18 on the status checker, but DLDS only says complete since 2/2.gamerish wrote:Still complete (no decision either way then). Way above 75th LSAT and pretty much at 75th GPA. When did you guys go complete? I'm sitting at 12/30.

Yes, please do! Good luck! When Johann tweeted more decisions later this week I thought there wouldn't be any movement until tomorrow or Friday.TheKisSquared wrote:Status Checker says DLS but nothing on the login page yet....
