your post is really helpful. thanks for putting it together/updating!nickhalden wrote:Don't freak out! Check out this post that lists the UR2 and decision dates for everyone that's posted ITT. It can take an achingly long time to get a decision. So don't get too excited about getting a decision soon.maroon175 wrote:slightly freaking out![]()

can't speak for anyone else, but I'm pretty sure I'm WL material, but idk if that comes out in the timing of UR1/2?checkin2014 wrote:+1 Sign of WL?
Waitlists are more likely the later in the cycle we go, but a later UR2 probably isn't indicative of one. As this post shows, there haven't been as many UR2s (based on TLS) out there - probably because they've been busy processing decisions for the December and early January UR2 classes. It isn't so much that they're holding your application because it's weak as that they are working through their process.checkin2014 wrote:+1 Sign of WL?

I wouldn't characterize your movement as "fast," but no, I don't think the rapidity is a good indicator of decision timing or type. But welcome to the thread!narwhalsrfun wrote:Does anyone know if fast turnaround is typically a good thing? I would love to go to Penn so I'm feeling a mixture of really excited and really nervous and wanted to see if there was a general consensus. Thank you to anyone who can help!
I would think that timeline is pretty quick - certainly faster than many of the others who have posted here. In my experience, a quick turnaround led to acceptances, but that is just my experience.nickhalden wrote:I wouldn't characterize your movement as "fast," but no, I don't think the rapidity is a good indicator of decision timing or type. wait did you just receive your decision right now?mindthegap wrote:Just felt the heartbreak of a WL.I had a feeling that would be the outcome but I told myself I was just paranoid because they'd WL'd me for undergrad, too.
I think it's time to accept that my love for Penn is wholly one-sided.
Also curious about this.hereisonehand wrote:wait did you just receive your decision right now?mindthegap wrote:Just felt the heartbreak of a WL.I had a feeling that would be the outcome but I told myself I was just paranoid because they'd WL'd me for undergrad, too.

Yup. 4:38 PM GMT. A moment that will live in infamy (for me, at least).hereisonehand wrote:wait did you just receive your decision right now?mindthegap wrote:Just felt the heartbreak of a WL.I had a feeling that would be the outcome but I told myself I was just paranoid because they'd WL'd me for undergrad, too.

I don't know if I want to be a part of whatever wave this is.JFO1833 wrote:Three applicants have been waitlisted today per lsn. This does suggest a wave is on going.
