it's recommended to write one for UVA as well (and anywhere where you're above 75ths)

Anyone going to the "Understanding the Law School Admissions Process - The Inside Perspective" this Saturday at Southwestern to learn about the admissions process of one of California's premier TTTs?

ETA: for lolz I mean, as you effectively only need a pulse to get in at southwestern

I did one of the online type ones of those offered by Michigan State. It definitely helped to at least get some inside perspective if you haven't found this web site before.

I'm in for chat tonight, but I might be a little late depending on the line at Chipotle

also I'm already going kind of status checker crazy. this does not bode well for the future.

I'm relatively new here but I hope to make it (get home around 7Cen). You guys seem like cool people. I'm always on, lurking, but I haven't posted much before these last few days. Seems like procrastinating my PS and whyX essays has made me post on the forum.

it is fun! I feel bad endorsing TLSing as a form of procrastination but you should definitely lurk less and post more!

smcc, I wouldn't dare! even Obama got eviscerated for his suboptimal Chipotle etiquette

Reminder: adcomms can see how many times a day you check. See if you can beat the YLS record, which I believe is over 200.
so far I've limited myself to once every morning (except for duke bc pt), but there are so many of them so it takes forever

do you think status checking a lot will help with YP at MVP? it's a show of interest just like a Why X

Wasn't there a report here somewhere or other about someone who had checked their status 1500 times or so? 200 doesn't seem excessive. I expect logging on to every school that I applied to every morning for sure.

Yeah- I remember seeing the 1500, but for some reason I thought it was like 1500 in one day...bc I remember thinking "how...?"

You're lying, that can't be true!!!

Also it never occurred to me that schools could see how often you use your status checker. Is there a strategy to this? Want to show interest but at the same time not seem desperate? #TLSProblems

I was kidding before, I don't think it could have any effect on admissions results haha

Seeee I knew there was something in one day! I'm wondering if it logs when you log in or when you refresh...

Haha, chalk one up to pylon being gullible.

Maybe this is a poll idea for later on in the cycle - how often are you looking at status checkers?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
