Re: University of TEXAS c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 cycle)
Hey guys, new here.
I'm not applying this cycle but I will be next year, but I understand how you guys feel because I'm already anxious myself.
I really want to go to UT; I actually had the chance to go there as am undergrad, but financial reasons turned me away. Let's hope I can get in twice.
My LSAT and work experience are probably going to be carrying my application if I expect to get in... my GPA will only be around there median when I graduate this winter, but I'm a really good test taker, so hopefully I get 170+ on the LSAT and some good letters from people.
But enough about me, good luck to you guys who are waiting.

for those on the WL, this phrase "there have been some summers we have not needed to activate the waitlist at all"<------really hoping that was years and years ago...

What about last year when they went through the entire waitlist and started accepting people that had been rejected?bluegreen wrote:for those on the WL, this phrase "there have been some summers we have not needed to activate the waitlist at all"<------really hoping that was years and years ago...
If you're instate and on the waitlist I don't hate your chances.

Last year it was because they were obligated to fill so many spots. I suspect this year will be similar because they have an even bigger hole to fill with a smaller source from which to draw (the smaller percentage of applicants).b123 wrote:this is a thing?BigZuck wrote:and started accepting people that had been rejected?

Ok, I was ED held for regular, was never asked to interview, and have not heard a peep. What does everybody else thinks this means? I take the lack of an interview as a bad sign, but wonder why they have not rejected me yet?

Replied to the waitlist email withdrawing my application.
Good luck to everyone else!! I wish you all the best, I hope everyone on the waitlist gets in.
