Re: Minnesota 2011
Okay my UR date changed from 2/3 to 2/23. What does that mean in regards to the process. It seems like all the schools have a different method. Is this date change a good thing?

Mine changed to 2/23 as well. Doesn't mean much except they are reviewing your application again or the first time for me.Sicsofs wrote:Okay my UR date changed from 2/3 to 2/23. In Review date changed again within the last hour to 2/24. According to the history of this thread, I guess I should be expecting a WL email soon, right?

In via email today! I live in South America and it often takes a few weeks for my mail to get here... guess I'll be waiting a while to hear about scholarships.

In off of waitlist today via phone call!
Waitlisted last month. Emailed Dir. of Admissions Wallace (who I had met at a law school fair) a LOCI 2 weeks ago, then followed it with a type-written hand signed copy of the same.
173/3.3
So if you think you were YPed send a LOCI. She said packet with financial aid stuff would come in a week or so.

Sent 2/18. IR 2/23. Accepted 2/24 via phone.
Had to answer the phone while driving in a complete whiteout with a few cars swerving into my lane. Probably sounded like a loser on the phone b/c I was so stressed.

In via voice mail today. When I called back I found out 2 things
1) Financial Aid information will be coming in the admittance packet in about a week
2) They provide up to 300 dollars for airfare for the admitted student weekend
Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Okay, so my IR date changed for the 3rd time today, but I haven't gotten a waitlist email in the last 3 hours. Anybody know what could be going on with me?

2.46 (3.5)/167 with six years work experience as a newspaper reporter. Got my call today after going complete Jan. 18. UM was the top-ranked school I applied to. I was bummed when I got WL at Notre Dame and Colorado but I'll gladly take it. I'm gonna be wearing this smile all week. My wife won't be able to live with me.

Re: Minnesota 2011
I've been lurking in these forums for awhile, but just got a phone call that convinced me to sign up. I considered Minnesota to be a reach school for me (3.12 GPA/167 LSAT), but apparently I've been accepted! I'm not sure how much weight being a non-traditional student carries, but it must help because I didn't expect to get in here. I applied to 20 schools (late...I sent in my applications on January 31), and this is the third I've heard back from (waitlisted at GWU and accepted at Wayne State in Detroit with a 50% scholarship). Anyways, I've been on cloud nine since I got the phone call. It doesn't hurt that Minnesota is a great hockey state, which isn't so much of a deciding factor as it is a nice bonus. If they hook me up with $20k a year, I'm pretty sure I'll attend (barring a full ride at a comparable school). I'm listening to nothing but Prince tonight in honor of the great state of Minnesota for making my day.

Congrats man, looks like we were in a similar boat. I was sure Minnesota was a reach but had the fee waiver so I figured, "what the hell?" Maybe we'll catch a hockey game sometime in the next three years.FourOnTheFloor wrote:I've been lurking in these forums for awhile, but just got a phone call that convinced me to sign up.
