Sadly, despite refreshing repeatedly, I've had no joy beyond the aforementioned sickening reminder that I need to get my FAFSA stuff in order. Sigh.

4 or 5 sections? I am more interested in the classes after 1L. So when I visit schools that's what I will focus on. I plan to do a lot of small classes, clinics and classes at other schools. I enjoy my 15-person classes

It's kind of funny we have 5 months to think about this without really any real feel for the school.

This may not be the forum for this topic but something in that email today got me thinking: Can someone explain the deal with filling out parent's info for financial aid? My parents are not going to be financially contributing at all and just because I am under 30 I am required to provide their info? If I put their info I will obviously be less eligible for need-based aid, which is what I need since I will be paying for this all myself. It doesn't make any sense to me that it is assumed that just because you are a certain age your parents are going to being paying the bills.

You're required to if they claimed you as a dependent, I think.

I don't think it makes any difference, but isn't Georgetown bumping up its FT class size and decreasing its PT class size? I only point this out because "463" could be misleading if next year it could be over 500.

1L class is divided into 9 mods (small section class) and 3 mods in a supermod for the other 1L classes. LRW is 12 sections (and made up of roughly equal numbers from each mod within the supermod).

Also remember, Boalt allows you to take an elective (or two) in 1L spring.

To the poster concerned about class size and course diversity-- I doubt you'll find that a problem here. Not only do we have the varied offerings by the (still growing) faculty, we also get some great once in a lifetime opportunities from some adjuncts. E.g.: Next semester, Chief Judge Vaughan Walker (N.D. Cal.) of overturning Prop-8 fame is teaching a strategic decision-making in litigation class! (still ticked it conflicted with two other classes I REALLY wanted to take)

Apparently law school is goofy when it comes to FAFSA. I'm really not totally sure how it works, but I've heard that depending on how far out of undergraduate you are, they calculate a % of your parents income whether they will be contributing to your tuition or not. If you're right out of undergrad it's 100%, 2 years our it's 80%, etc. I've heard lots of complaints from current law schools about this.
