New TLSer here.

In at UCLA 1/24 via phone call from Dean Schwartz. 75k offered during call. Submitted 1/10.

An extremely pleasant surprise, as it was my first acceptance of the cycle. Really hoping for Berkeley, though, as I'm a science major interested in patent law.

Stats are 3.76/170, for your reference.

Man...submitted 11/18, still no word from UCLA aside from an email saying my file was complete 11/23. Over eight weeks, now...

Did you guys who have been complete for about 8 weeks now send in a LOCI?? I'm debating whether or not to send one in, as I've been complete since early November...

Yeah, Los Angelians are so jealous. Hopefully our better weather, better basketball team, and historically better baseball team will cheer us up.

Sorry r6! But on the bright side, it is not a rejection, and if I remember correctly from looking at LSN from last year, quite a few WL people got accepted later on. But at a minimum you have Berkeley, which is a pretty good floor if you ask me!

I am from LA and live near UCLA now, met Dean Schwartz and thought it went well, #s over both 75ths (see LSN profile for details) and tailored my app for UCLA. I really would consider UCLA with $ because my SO, friends and family are here and I really liked UCLA on my visit. YPing is a cruel cruel game - you've had a tremendous cycle r6 hopefully a VCE will be your consolation soon.
