Re: THE DING BAR
Dear Georgetown,
When I received your e-mail notifying me that I've been put on your "preferred" waitlist, I had almost forgotten I had applied to your school when I was shooting off a few apps to safety schools. Sorry, but I wish to take no part in your YP. Even a full ride scholarship plus stipend would not have convinced me to attend your diploma mill and I wish you luck in placing all your graduates in an extremely oversaturated DC market.
With that said, I don't hold grudges. Come visit me in NYC while I'm attending Columbia.

Really American. Waitlisted? Schools in the 30's saw it fit to accept me with scholarship money and you waitlisted me? This is a shameless attempt to raise your LSAT median and for what? We all know that this year your gonna be bumped down to a tier 2.
I can't wait to come back to DC and steal all the jobs from your grads with my shiny Wake Forest diploma.

Dear Wash and Lee:
Its no surprise that you initials are WL considering that Ive been placed on the waitlist twice in the past month! WL TO WL FROM WL. PS I also wished that i goofed off a bit more in undergrad so that I could spend 4 years studying for the LSAT while maintaing a C Average. The new criteria for acceptance.

Dear Colorado,
Your high elevation would have made me feel like a little b*tch being drunk off of a only a handful of beers. I'll stay at sea level and keep my pride and my sweet beer gut.
I'll drink one down for you while your students compete with debt-free DU students for employment.

Because of those ^ facts, DU can (and does) give out a lot more $ to potential students. /derailsamilabuena wrote:Sorry, I don't get it and I have to ask. DU is more expensive and not public so...?Barbie wrote:

Boston University...
thank you for the kind ding...I was dreading the prospect of spending 3 years surrounded by Boston sports fans. Also, I wasn't looking forward to graduating from the third best law school in Boston. And it's cold up there. So again, thanks.
PS: whoever designed your law school building should be tied up and beaten with a sock full of quarters. Ugly is too kind a word to describe it.

P.S. University of Chicago. Did you really have to send me another email saying that I was denied...AGAIN!?!
"It has come to our attention that some of the decision emails that we sent yesterday have not yet reached the recipients. Although all emails were successfully sent, LSAC has informed us that some of the emails were delayed at the servers of the recipients. In an abundance of caution, we are sending a copy of the original email that was sent yesterday. "
It has come to my attention that the internet hates you, as do I. Get bent.

Dear W&L,
Eh I didn't really care about you to begin with. I only applied because you kept asking me to. But your warped-speed admissions process is kind of suspect and I just could not see myself with you. So long.
Dear Columbia,
Yea Yea you are my alma mater. I have too many connections with you and I would always end up resenting you. Cannot imagine living the rest of my life in New York either because face it, go to Columbia, and you're stuck for life. When I was in undergrad and i would see the columbia law kids staring at us drunk fools teetering back to EC, yea I would feel really bad cus it was 4am but they were still in the library. Anyway, see ya. It's been swell.
Dear Stanford,
I liked your stationary and I didn't mind being rejected by you either. It's cool.
sincerely,
rs2004

Dear CU-Boulder,
I wish I could say I gave two shits about you; it took a free application completed in about 10 minutes to convince me to apply. The only way I would have considered going there is if I didn't get in anywhere out of state, and if I got a full ride. Even then, I would probably take a job as a legislative aide at the statehouse instead.
Thanks for affirming my desire to get out of Colorado for a while.
Love,
Papa Smurf
PS- it was bad enough being around the rich preppy douchebags at my high school who eventually flocked to Boulder in droves. I can only imagine the hell of interacting with all the mega-frat boys, holier-than-thou patchouli oil hippies, and trust fund babies.

Dear W&L,
Thanks for inducting me into the select group of double-waitlistees. Sorry for not being URM and/or female.
