In! I thought international students would be admitted via email but things happened over an exhilarating phone call!

And of course good luck for everyone else!

Why do you have to withdraw from CLS / NYU? Or is that only for ED?

I'm assuming the person above was joking in order to make more room for people currently pending at those schools. :)

Don't they wait until after they start on the waitlist to give out those spots anyway?
who knows

Eh, I think withdrawing as soon as you know you aren't going somewhere is helpful. That's an offer slot that opens immediately for any candidate, regardless of whether they're pending or already on a waitlist. Why hold up a space if you know you aren't taking it? hehe :D

I agree when you know you are going someplace like Harvard. However, if you want to go to a school that might give you a scholarship, keeping options is the best for negotiation.

Oh, I understand that. Sorry, I should have clarified. In those circumstances I really get it if you want to hold onto an offer for negotiation. Doesn't hurt and hey, you gotta look out for yourself!

I haven't checked. But the person on the phone said they'd be updating the status checkers later in the day
