Can confirm it's not made of flesh, much to my surprise. (End of Snuggie talk as I've used up all the gif goodwill I accumulated from pretzel)potterotter wrote:Check your inbox!KateMcKitten wrote:Pls what does it look like since I'll likely never see one in the flesh myselfpotterotter wrote:Yes they do! I feel bad because you're about to be spammed with requests, but I'd love to see. It'll directly impact how hard I gun for Yale in a few years.potterotter wrote:Check your inbox!KateMcKitten wrote:Pls what does it look like since I'll likely never see one in the flesh myselfpotterotter wrote:Yes they do! So ... how big was today's wave? Given how many of you are discussing cat gifs and snuggies (provoking the Gods, if you ask me), it seems it wasn't too big, a lot of us are still standing.
Condolences all around to the fallen though.

FYI I just posted my ding on LSN but it's because I only just got home. Email is timestamped @ 5:40 PM PST. Just wanted to post so no one sees it and freaks out (though a new post might also cause a freak out...).
Best of luck to those left standing! Get them snuggies.

Have they dinged everyone whose rejection they had on file? In other words: are all of those who haven't heard back still "out with the faculty", or should we expect another ding wave tonight?

I applied in 2016 (like November) and didn't get dinged last night (and fully expecting one), so not sure what the game is for them now. Were all the other dings in 2016?

^^ agreed.Monday wrote:No, even taking into account the small percentage of applicants reporting on TLS/LSN, yesterday's wave seems small. Besides, if Asha wanted to hide from applicants whether or not they went onto faculty review, holding onto the rejections of the more recent application batch (2017) would make sense. Since 80% of applications are "outright" (not the proper word, I know) rejected, she certainly has more rejections on file.Gabriel_is_Satan wrote:Have they dinged everyone whose rejection they had on file? For those of us not dinged yet, I wouldn't extrapolate much. I'm certainly not taking it as a great sign yet. I think there'll be a lot more rejections coming through, possibly/probably today.
Fun!
