UR since 9/9/16 and still not a peep! It seems like there are a lot of applicants in the same boat. Any idea what is taking Stanford so long?
Also, any idea how Stanford is picking those to waitlist?

I'm going with Pretzel's bracket idea. I'd hate to be pitted against y'all, but at least it'd mean there's method to the madness.Anxious-Undergrad wrote:UR since 9/9/16 and still not a peep! It seems like there are a lot of applicants in the same boat. Any idea what is taking Stanford so long?

In reality, I have no idea -- there's an optimistic side of me that keeps thinking no news is good news, but it could just be that the files are all sorts of out of order at this stage. I assume waitlist is for the almost-admits, but I couldn't begin to guess how the adcomms make specific determinations.

There's a WL data thread floating around that says last cycle it was ~10%.dyebri wrote:Do you what percentage of wl eventually get accepted into Stanfordcrookedsmile wrote:Late post but took the dLs on Wednesday, letter in the mail Thursday: WL. Gonna roll the dice and accept a spot.

I saw that thread. Is there any specific data on what percentage of their incoming class comes off the waitlist? The WL thread is all LSN, and so doesn't give much of a representative sample.crookedsmile wrote:There's a WL data thread floating around that says last cycle it was ~10%.dyebri wrote:Do you what percentage of wl eventually get accepted into Stanfordcrookedsmile wrote:Late post but took the dLs on Wednesday, letter in the mail Thursday: WL. Based on TLS I thought those without a response were in the minority, but when I glanced at LSN on Friday, over half were still at pending.notorious_mig wrote:wait so did we estimate what percentage of applications have been given a decision (ANY decision) at this point

Based on my conversations with people at Chicago's ASW, a ton of people are still waiting on SLS.

When I narrowed down LSN data to only accounts close to my LSAT and GPA, even after removing the ones that have been inactive for a couple of months, theres still 55% pending. Starting to think I'll never hear back.

I think I'm going to get waitlisted by all of HYS, that has to be rarer than getting into all three, right? (desperately trying to console myself)notsonotorious wrote:Waitlisted, ya'll. Between this and the Harvard waitlist, I'm the backup prom date for the whole football team, lol
