Jesus...you're the first I've heard getting admitted without an interview. Congrats!!
I don't get it. I honestly didn't even know if I would get in- right at median. I mean I think I'm cool and interesting but doesn't everyone? I wrote a Why UVA and had met with their admissions folks at a forum...but still. I'm still doublechecking the email because I just can't believe it.
Did LSAC upload the wrong LSAT or something and I got someone's 180?

If I'm remembering correctly, it took a few days at least for me to go from complete to UR.

The body of the email was:
"since we already met in REDACTED LSAC FORUM there is no need to request a formal interview. That means, my next statement to you is: Please allow me to welcome you to Virginia Law" etc etc etc with a note that the status checker will update soon and they'll be sending an admit packet.
I did write a (pretty gushing) Why UVA essay...idk maybe that helped? I put a lot of work into my PS but didn't think it was special.

Hm, I guess they're one of the schools that counts LSAC forum attendance as the interview.

Actually this is the second super fast turnaround I've seen in this thread and the other guy met them at an LSAC forum too. I guess they really like those forums

Interesting. They must be working very quickly now because I submitted yesterday and my checker says under review today. I applied here late because I finally made myself (it's a reach) and so far this is the quickest I have gone UR.

I saw that, too. Are you a URM or something? Your numbers don't exactly jump off the page like a 180/4.0
White as toast. My parents make decent money so no economic hardship. I even double checked my app to see if I'd signed up for ED, or accidentally marked as URM...nope.

Hm, it's possible that they're trying to move a little faster now to avoid being overwhelmed by December LSAT applicants.
All I know is I've been sitting at UR2 for over a month lol

I guess the takeaway is maybe LSAC forums aren't as useless as TLS thinks?

That's a pretty awesome GPA. No chance of sitting out a year and improving the LSAT score?

Thanks! Yeah, I hate the LSAT more than anything. I took it twice already (157-->161). I was bummed the second time in particular because I was PTing 165-168, but I just hate that test so much and the anxiety LOL If I don't get into a T-20, I may retake and reapply, but I don't know if I can put myself through all of that again. LOL

For the UVA Alumni reception for admitted students in my city, I was asked if I wanted to bring a guest - do you guys think it is appropriate to bring boyfriends/girlfriends?

Does anyone know if there's an apartment near campus with a gym? Was originally looking at Jeffersonian, but I'd really like a gym. Unless there's one right next to the law school?

I'm pretty sure there is a gym within 10 minute walk of the law school - has a pool too!
