Has anyone else with high stats applied to the Jacobson program and not heard back yet? LSAT and GPA > 75 and UR1 since 10/14.

Me. Above both 75ths as well, and UR1 since 10/11.

Totally speculating here lol, but I applied to a different "programmatic scholarship" very early on and have also been UR1 since 10/11. Think it's possible that they wait until the January 1 deadline to make final decisions on these apps?

So you're saying you first get into NYU in general, then they consider whether to accept you to Jacobson and whether to give a scholarship in late January?

So you're saying you first get into NYU in general, then they consider whether to accept you to Jacobson and whether to give a scholarship in late January?

"Finalist are expected to be available for an interview in March or April 2017. Scholarship offers will be made shortly after the interviews."

I gotta say I am impressed by NYU. Wasn't considering it originally, but the school is just more awesome with each thing I learn about it. I guess lower lay prestige does that.

What sort of things come to mind?

hey...why not try? You wouldn't be the first person to get in when they thought they had no chance. (This is how I talked myself into the Harvard app that I'm patiently waiting to get rejected)

So I live in NY and NYU is far and away my top choice + a reach school (GPA slightly below median, 50<LSAT<75)

I didn't write a Why NYU cause didn't wanna bulk up my app too much.

Anyone have thoughts on more ways to show my interest w/o being annoying? I could easily go to the admissions office every day if I wanted (live off dat L train), but not sure if pestering would do more harm than good.

also, my status tracker says "application under review." does this mean my app is complete? i have all three checks on the "requirements list."

1. There is no Why NYU section. You can sorta do it by applying to a scholarship (though not sure if evaluated during the main application). Or just don't worry about it. None of us did one, either.

2. Under review means it is complete and on to the part where they review it.

I see. Thanks for clearing that up. Have their been acceptances yet this cycle?

PSA I went UR2 on Friday, insofar as that means anything to anyone

With a GPA slightly below median and lsat above median I dont think NYU is a "reach school"

I think the general consensus here is that theres no need to express extra interest, they already know its one of your top choices!
