I had a date change today. It still says "Interview Requested," though I did my interview yesterday.WaitersIsland wrote:Anyone else see some kind of movement today? Went UR2 today, still no interview request.

That happened to me the day after my interview as well (1/27). It still says Interview Requested. I believe this is normal. I've had no movement since.rpfote wrote:I had a date change today. After doing some investigating, I don't think UR2 with no interview request is necessarily a bad thing. Plenty of people ITT have gotten requests after UR2, and the interview requests seem to be (for the most part) sent in waves on Fridays. Nothing to worry about here, folks!

Thanks so much for digging into that. Maybe we'll get an interview request on Friday!!! Fingers crossed!!!WaitersIsland wrote:After doing some investigating, I don't think UR2 with no interview request is necessarily a bad thing. I would assume they won't be going out until after March 15 since that's the due date for the scholarship application (merit-based and need-based).B102 wrote:Have any financial aid offers gone out?

Thanks for the responses. Sorry to post all this here, but there isn't an admitted student thread that I know of.
Does it make any difference how long before the deadline financial aid information is submitted? Does applying for need aid in any way hurt merit aid offers?

Re: Cornell Law School c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
I've read a ton of fin aid FAQs over the last few weeks so forgive me if I'm getting it confused with another school but I do believe they say on their website that there's no advantage to applying for fin aid early so long as you meet the deadline, but sooner is always better than later. I wouldn't imagine applying for need aid would negatively impact merit aid. It's not like they throw out a lot of need aid in the first place so I can't see them slashing your merit award to compensate for any fin aid you do get.B102 wrote:Thanks for the responses. Didn't like my why Cornell answer so I sent a quick follow up note via email to explain why I wanted to go. Gl everyone else!

Cool. I was trying to sort out if they are coming out slowly or if my mail carrier just decided they wanted to read up on Cornell Law.herecomesthesun wrote:Yupslippin_jimmy wrote:I got admitted like a month and a half ago and still have yet to receive my official mailing - is anyone else in this boat?

I really hope they do some sooner than that. Would be such a relief getting a large enough offer to confirm that I am at least going somewhere in septlawandorder2019 wrote:I would assume they won't be going out until after March 15 since that's the due date for the scholarship application (merit-based and need-based).B102 wrote:Have any financial aid offers gone out?

The admit package says "We will begin making awards as early as February 15, 2016." Whether they will stick to that schedule is anyone's guess.

I was admitted early in December and just got it last week, so probably along the same timeline as you!slippin_jimmy wrote:I got admitted like a month and a half ago and still have yet to receive my official mailing - is anyone else in this boat?
