If previous waitlist threads are any indication, Yale sends out acknowledgements in large batches, rather than individually.

So if I stay on the Yale waitlist and by some miracle they accept me do I still have the ability to say nah I'm gonna stay at Harvard? I'm still very undecided about which I prefer.

Sure you do, they can't *force* you to go to Yale. But if you're going to turn them down anyway, the respectable thing to do would be to withdraw. It doesn't sound like you've made that decision yet, but it would be a pretty dbag move to stay on the WL if you know you'll decline the offer, i.e. to stay on just so you can "find out" if youd get in, but with no intention of going. Again, this doesn't sound like it's your M.O., I'm just saying

Thanks. I'm more worried that it will be some violation that would mess up my enrollment at HLS if I choose to stay there.

It looks like it took them about two weeks last year. So, maybe we can expect to get a confirmation later next week?

Anyone have a guess as to when deposit deadline driven WL action could occur? This week (if at all)?

I did some research on years past, and it looks like there was sometimes movement around May 15. That's when schools run their multiple deposit checks, from what I understand.

Nobody has gotten a confirmation. What's the point in calling. If you read Asha's post she clearly states that they don't send out confirmations. I think calling can only hurt not help.

Nice try williamtell. You're just trying to get the competition to eliminate itself. Unless you knew that I would think that and so actually don't want me to call. Unless of course you knew that I would know that I would know that you would want me to think that, in which case...
