Sorry - correct my previous question from interview to scholarship invitation. Everyone receiving emails about scholarships have been accepted already? Also, please check in if you've hit UR2 this week. I'm really surprised/concerned that we haven't seen much movement on UR2s within the past several weeks.

Yes as far as I'm aware - got the James Wilson invite a couple days after my acceptance. Does anyone know if these scholarships are in addition to regular financial aid, or would they replace it entirely? I'm curious since the James Wilson one is less than full tuition, and my acceptance email said finaid decisions would go out in March with no mention of scholarships.nickhalden wrote:Sorry - correct my previous question from interview to scholarship invitation. I understand the confusion -- I'm sure many of us have been getting desperate TTT spam since signing up for CRS telling us that we're in the running for full tuition scholarships (if we'd only apply!)

Urgh. Stuck at UR1 since last week. Hope there are other opportunities for students admitted later to apply.

Yeah, I'm stuck with some other folks in Dec UR2 land. Anyone know if there were multiple scholly invite waves last year?Skool wrote:Urgh. Stuck at UR1 since last week. Hope there are other opportunities for students admitted later to apply.

Another Toll invite here, after Levy invite yesterday. Seems odd they'd ask you to apply for both and give them the same due date, when Levys go out in March and Tolls in April (per the emails).

Toll email isn't exactly an invitation, just informational (anyone can apply). Not sure about Levy, I believe that's selective.
From Toll site:
"All admitted students are welcome to apply for the Toll Public Interest Scholarship. Instructions for applying will be sent shortly after admission."

Ah okay, thanks for the clarification. It just seems odd to do it at the same time.

UR2 c/o 1/8 hoping there are additional waves and future admits aren't stuck with rejected schollys. @Invitees - did the emails give any indication of a timeline - deadlines to submit, decisions by, etc?hillz wrote:Yeah, I'm stuck with some other folks in Dec UR2 land. It's great that they're opening Toll to anyone who wants to apply.
I was just thinking, what if we're headed back to the old world where hiring for Biglaw picks up and PI goes back to being not that desirable.
What a world that would be.

I went UR2 on 2/3. I suspect a rejection is pending...

No, I had a phone interview without being accepted and later found out it was related to a scholarship.nickhalden wrote:Sorry - correct my previous question from interview to scholarship invitation. Don't freak out! Check out this post that lists the UR2 and decision dates for everyone that's posted ITT. It can take an achingly long time to get a decision. So don't get too excited about getting a decision soon.maroon175 wrote:slightly freaking out

I'm really interested that we haven't seen much UR2 movement. Since 1/16 there have been just 13 reported UR2s. Is that because TLS users are more likely to have applied earlier (and receive an earlier UR2)? Or is Penn slowing down UR2s for other admissions tasks like scholarship or decision processing? It's worth mentioning that there have been 70 decisions on TLS within that span (majority WL/ding). I care because the low frequency of UR2s probably leads to fewer decision days. Will we have one Friday? I hope so.
