Predict some movement on the second Monday after Thanksgiving or December 15/18 at he latest. I always found Turkey day surprise a bit odd because it spoiled the holiday for candidates with otherwise strong credentials that did not yet have a chance to get interviewed for one reason or the other.

also, if you hide things in the spreadsheets, it doesn't just hide them for you, it hides them for everybody, and then it messes up the data. PLEASE DON'T HIDE COLUMNS IN THE SPREADSHEETS

(don't mind me just spamming this everywhere bc it's messing up literally every single spreadsheet right now)

I'm predicting next week, with nothing to base that on except for wishful thinking.

If we missed a JS1 wave, can we possibly get JS1 invites in the future? Or are we just expecting WLs and dings?
Super upset.
Median LSAT + slightly < median GPA

hold out for a while. I submitted on day one and missed like 5 waves or something before I got one

So is the consensus that the relative delay in initial admits is due to yet another drop in applicants ?

Does anyone know if the schools that already got my complete applications will automatically see my Dec LSAT score when it come out, or do I need to send them emails to let them know? Thanks.

No one has any idea. Anyone who tells you they know, unless they have a direct connection to the HLS admissions office, is full of it. That hasn't stopped all of us from speculating of course, me included, but we really have no clue what the actual reason(s) may be.

They will automatically see it, but if your score improved, it wouldn't hurt to send them a note mentioning the new info. I think KB mentioned this last year. Feel free to search through the Spivey thread if you want confirmation.

Last cycle I believe there was a wave the second week after thanksgiving and another one in the week of December 18 followed with a big wave of JS2 before Christmas. I personally like that they did not have turkey wave this cycle.

To those who applied within hours after September 15 when the application went live, can you say how were you able to submit the application so quickly?

does application going live only means that the submit option becomes enabled so you could fill up the application in advance before it went live? i was going through the thread and there were some submissions within like 20 min and couple of hours of live application, and was curious how is that even possible without seeing the app before.

I might have seriously messed up my applications, but why does everyone seem to imply filling out a few forms as this big arduous task? I did all my apps in one night basically.

ya it takes like 20 min to fill out if you have your essays done.

Most of the material transfers from app to app. If you do Cornell and Uchi first, then essentially everything minus a few boxes here or there is automatically transferred for H (and most of the others). It's not much work after the 3rd or 4th app TBH. I guess if you are writing a lot of targeted individual PS's/addenda it would be different? The only ones that took any work beyond that were Why X essays, but that really only applies to Penn, UVA, Mich, etc rather than T6 schools where you don't need it.
^This. I did Duke's application first and everything transferred to the Harvard application. I already had all my essays and my resume written. All i did was triple check that everything was right and then press submit. My essay's were also targeted but they were pre-written regardless

I did a lot of practice apps to get my time down. The employment section was probably the most challenging one for me, so I drilled especially hard for that. When it was time for the real thing I was able to get all the questions in each section done in under 10 mins except for the employment section. I ended up having to guess starting and ending dates for a few of my jobs before submitting.

ETA: Although, since H was my first one I did actually kind of muck it up. Left the extracurriculars section blank because I just didn't think any of the stuff I had done really counted, and didn't want to fill in lots of pointless stuff. No idea why I thought that exactly. Didn't realise until I was doing the next one that I actually had stuff to put there.

H being the first also means their admissions committee will have the pleasure of seeing a semi-colon used in a way that hasn't been prevalent since the 18th century, in my PS.

Probs should have done some practice apps
