I looked at past cycles and some people that submitted late got decisions like the first week of April.wtrc wrote:I am now finished applying to all law schools, forever. Good luck all!
Any idea, from the past cycles, for people that apply last minute like this, how long it takes for decisions? Is it usually April or later, or do they work fast in March?

Thanks for the kind words, and sure thing! I submitted in early January. I'm surprised it was such a quick turnaround since the general rule seems to be that Yale takes their time in reviewing applications, and because I still have a few schools that haven't gotten back to me yet to which I applied back in October and November...whippersnappery wrote: Congratulations! Do you mind telling us when you submitted?

Thanks! I doubt it though, given my stats (which are decent but nothing exceptional for Yale), and my softs (which are, again, only decent - I have no work experience, for example).chizzy wrote:

Well, Yale received my application January 19th, and it was completed January 30th. I am not sure how I missed the blood bath, but if Yale is truly looking for "colorful" applicants, I feel good. I wish everyone the best of luck, I just wanted to officially join the thread. By the way, this by far the most hilarious of any of the TLS threads.

The rejection of such high number combos is pretty surprising. I wonder if this cycle is atypical.

Thought I'd check-in too given the recent action. Sent in 1/24, completed 1/31. Not sure how I've made it this far, thought I'd be an auto-ding. Both GPA & LSAT are <25%. I'm assuming they just haven't gotten around to my app at this point.

There is an uptick of 170+ applicants this cycle, but Y has always rejected people with good numbers. I doubt they're being unusually picky this cycle.LexLeon wrote:The rejection of such high number combos is pretty surprising. I wonder if this cycle is atypical.

Lurker here, just thought I'd pop in to say I just got the call from Yale - in!
Applied around 1/20, complete 1/28. Non-URM.

Good luck to all of y'all, hope there's more good news on the way today!

First time posting here.
So thus far, there's only been one acceptance today? Just based on the YLS admissions twitter, I'm guessing we're going to have a big wave this afternoon, huh?
Also, I submitted early Jan (>25% LSAT, >50% GPA) and survived the wave of dings early this week. Is that a good sign? Or are there still a million pending apps that are older than mine?
Still learning the rules about what sort of info/questions you can post on here, so sorry if this is a dumb thing to ask.
