This uppercase to lowercase e-mail business is probably the worst thing to happen to my zen in a while. I was so content to just never check a Status Checker compulsively ever again...

use that lsstatuschecker app... that is how I found out and optimistically believed it only meant that they were looking at my app, not that I had gotten in!carboncopyx wrote:This uppercase to lowercase e-mail business is probably the worst thing to happen to my zen in a while. We'll see how many reallys belong in that sentence when I see you at ASW in April (speaking of which, you might want to book your flight now as they only re-imburse $200/400 for CA/non-CA)carboncopyx wrote:You. Hell, they might just think you belong and let you enroll in the Fall... such things have happened at Stanford beforecarboncopyx wrote:And if I don't get in, I can fly out anyway and pretend to be one of the chosen!ManOfTheMinute wrote:We'll see how many reallys belong in that sentence when I see you at ASW in April (speaking of which, you might want to book your flight now as they only re-imburse $200/400 for CA/non-CA)

My roommate acted like that - never took tests, crawled in and out of windows, avoided campus authorities - but turns out he really was a student...just a failure.ManOfTheMinute wrote:Hell, they might just think you belong and let you enroll in the Fall... such things have happened at Stanford beforecarboncopyx wrote:And if I don't get in, I can fly out anyway and pretend to be one of the chosen!ManOfTheMinute wrote:We'll see how many reallys belong in that sentence when I see you at ASW in April (speaking of which, you might want to book your flight now as they only re-imburse $200/400 for CA/non-CA)

In at Stanford on 2/4/13.. Application was complete 1/23/13.
Anyone have tips on how to maximize financial aid if you know you wont get much from FAFSA. I.e. leverage/private scholarships/Stanford grants?

I don't get this unless this is a roundabout way of saying you're an international? Congrats though!Sevenkingdoms wrote:In at Stanford on 2/4/13.. Application was complete 1/23/13.

For any prospectives considering visiting Stanford, admissions got back to me, and you can sit-in on a class during your visit.

Somewhat similar boat. Although mine says complete.megagnarley wrote:App was incomplete because of an abroad transcript I needed to have sent over. Ordered it to be sent to them via email as they requested, and when I was still incomplete 10 days later I followed up via email to see if it had arrived...radio silence.
Is it rude to call and see what's going on?
The lack of communication is distressing.
I emailed them as well as my study abroad coordinator (w/ my transcript) and no response. Not sure what to do..

I've been trying to avoid this thread, and now I'm seeing all of this business about a lower/uppercase e-mail. Is this for real or am I being trolled real hard right now?

Are you actually telling me that a change from uppercase to lowercase on your e-mail indicates admit or not? Explain this to me.TrustInMusic wrote:It's realRSterling wrote:I've been trying to avoid this thread, and now I'm seeing all of this business about a lower/uppercase e-mail. What if, when they get ready to start dinging people, they also change e-mail addresses before adding DLS? That would be a sad day.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
