Do we have a second seat deposit? Or is it just the one due on the 15th?

I'm pretty sure it's just the one, but later in the summer we do have to sign a letter of intent. I imagine it probably requires us to withdraw outstanding offers and waitlists but I'm not sure.

Can anyone recommend a hotel? Will be getting to Austin on Thursday morning and have absolutely no idea where to stay. Anyone know a place close to campus with reasonable rates? Thanks.

Will be at the Radisson w/ the SO and babykins. They'll be apartment hunting during ASD. We'll have a rental if anyone needs a ride and will be at the event on Thurs (we have local friends who agreed to be sitters lol)

Same. Surprised it worked, honestly -- I'm a pretty big splitter. PM if you'd like details.

Mariott looks good. Will probably be staying there as well. On another note, can anyone post the details for the meetup on here (pm is fine as well)... don't use facebook. Thanks!

Does anyone know how they translate UCLA (LA) and Vandy (Nashville) scholarship offers versus UT? Since they use the overall attendance cost, is there any sort of rough formula or idea by how much X overall tuition cost at one of schools would = Y requested tuition cost at UT (ie, trying to figure out how much is reasonable to ask for in the re-review)?

Hey guys, for those of you attending ASW who have yet to make living arrangements, my friends and I have one room left in a big sweet house DIRECTLY across the street from the law school. There will be 4 3Ls living in the house next year, and they have a ton of old 1L books and stuff.

So if you're in town this weekend and want to check it out, call or email

WokeUp I hope you don't post much in this thread in the future, because otherwise I will be totally distracted by Jennifer Lawrence ;) Saw the film last night, it was awesome.

Just to make sure I have this right:

For the matching program we can only send in one request, but in that request we can submit competing offers from several schools - correct?

I'm waiting to hear back from UCLA but the UT deposit deadline is coming up and the only other school I have a scholarship offer from is W&M (which I don't think they will consider as a "peer school"?)

No clue what to do.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
