Did Ingram mention scholarship in the phone call? When she called me, she did not say anything about it. I thought I would be able to win some money from UT.

She didn't mention anything to me about scholarships about scholarships. Hopefully it'll be coming in the packet they're sending.

When Ingram called me back in December she didn't mention scholarships in the message, but about a week after I got the main admit packet the scholarship letter came in the mail (which seems to be their timeline for sending it out) with $7k/year.

when they called - the person said that a letter with scholarship info would come in a few weeks. she said it in such a way that didn't indicate that there was in fact a scholarship - but rather that if there was one, it would come in a few weeks.

I got "if you will allow us a week or two we will get a scholarship offer in the mail to you"
But that was a week and a half ago and I haven't heard anything. I'm hoping for some good news today.

This process makes me too excited for the mail to come everyday.

So cold here in Austin.

If we want to talk about current direction of the programs, here's rivals.com's NCAA team ranking for 2011 recruiting:
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/r ... 11/all/all
#3 Texas
#27 A&M

It means nothing if you can't develop the talent. Look at the numbers of busts y'all have had over the years.

While I am huge college football fan, and go to ug at one the above schools (the better one), a few of yall may want to go post your rivalry chat there instead of here

FYI everyone - I just received a scholarship letter today and I was admitted via phone the first week of December. The 2 week timeframe may be the most common but mine just took 2 months...

Psyched! Also, stoked.
Me too, even though it happened a while ago. Furthermore, I'm stoked about this.

OH MY GOD!! I went to UG out west and in-and-out was kind of a staple. DFW is kinda far from Austin, but a double double would totally make the drive worthwhile.

Totally. I wouldn't hesitate to make that drive for a double-double or three. Or I'll just go to SMU.

In-N-Out is greatness, but Whataburger is better.

Whataburger is better in terms of variety, but In N out wins best burger. In college, I lived pretty close to each. I love the bbq chicken sandwiches at whataburger though

Yea the In-n-Out menu is limited and its shortcoming. We'll make you anything you want....as long as it is a combination of like the only 6 ingredients in the back.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
