Agreed. I think USC, like Berkeley, eats up high GPAs, even with midrange LSATs. You seem like a solid to me. I think you have a better shot than I do--logic would dictate that a school like USC prefers reverse splitters over regular splitters (though I could be way wrong). I'm a mini-splitter (3.4, 167). I think we both have a shot, but what I do know is that if we go we'll be selling organs, because it'll likely be sticker for us

Yeah LSN had me as "admit" so I'm not frantic...but who knows with reverse splitters! I'm already into GW though so I'm okay without USC

in fact, USC will just complicate things I think because it'll be hard to turn down considering I might want to come back to CA and USC has amazing placement here. I just REALLY want to move east (preferably NY....I'm hoping for Fordham and I'm okay paying sticker I think) but turning down USC for Fordham (both sticker) would be difficult - impossible

I would be ecstatic if my being part of your group signaled an acceptance. I'm 3.4, 167 URM, with (relatively) unique softs. Law school predictor had me at "consider" but I got into GW, which has a slightly higher average GPA (although they admit more and a greater percentage of people). Also went in review twice within 3 weeks of going complete. Either really good or really bad. Or meaningless. But you guys seem legit. If same IR dates really means anything...
167 is right there. plus being URM makes up for ur gpa....sort of...i think

The stats of the people in my group are giving me hope that i'm in good company. My application was a little weaker
(URM, 4 yrs WE, 2.7 gpa from ivy, 170) so I'm hoping for good news

well you see Pomas (can I all you Pomas?), in order to compute meaning out of the relationship of the disparity between going complete and UR, we are essentially making sense out of chaos? What better formula to use than the equation for entropy of an ideal gas (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entropy).
