Yeah. I thought I did too, but the pent up resentment I have for not hearing anything is making me confused. Well regardless, congratulations on NYU! It's a great acheivement.

So, if decisions come out today, is that probably the last big wave of ED admits?

If anything is going to happen today, it'll have to be real soon, i.e. next 50 minutes.wiseguy33 wrote:So, if decisions come out today, is that probably the last big wave of ED admits?

Re: Columbia 2011!
Actually, after thinking about it a bit, by LSN data, 60% of admits would have gone out for December. But a large, large chunk of people (about 17% of admits) don't list decision dates on their LSN. This probably overlaps with the fraction of the population that doesn't list ED as their application type.
Based on this, I think as more realistic estimate of the admits that have gone out already is about 45%. There's plenty of admits left. That doesn't even include people that get deferred and admitted or people who, for some reason, found out they were admitted in early January. If you include those, the estimate drops down to about 35% of admits have gone out.
That means there are conceivably 65% of ED admissions left, so don't worry.

I'd love for that 65 to drop down to like 35 in the next hour, b/c they just finished sending us TLSers our acceptancesvertex wrote:Actually, after thinking about it a bit, by LSN data, 60% of admits would have gone out for December. One can dream... I think sending out a batch of acceptances would be an amazing way to end the work week. *cough* Do you hear that, CLS Admissions Office?TLSNYC wrote:I'd love for that 65 to drop down to like 35 in the next hour, b/c they just finished sending us TLSers our acceptancesvertex wrote:Actually, after thinking about it a bit, by LSN data, 60% of admits would have gone out for December. +1 just got my purple envelope from NYU yet the excitement is all but completely overshadowed by CLS' reluctance to make a decision on my ED app.TLSNYC wrote: Yeah, it's definitely a big relief, although I can't lie that I much prefer CLS.

I don't know -- part of me is contemplating anonymously calling the admissions office and asking if no word yet equals rejection. I'm sure they'd easily dismiss that myth, but I'm hoping that they would then divulge more info like "stay patient, it's coming real soon". I just called yesterday for a matter in which I had to disclose who I was. I don't want the same lady to recognize my voice lolNola wrote:What is the deal? It has been awhile since we had any action.

+1 I'm into school that I'm happy with but being uncertain whether my cycle will be over any day now or if I'm going to be flying out to ASW's and negotiating scholarships is bringing anxiety.shanemahsa wrote:+1 just got my purple envelope from NYU yet the excitement is all but completely overshadowed by CLS' reluctance to make a decision on my ED app.TLSNYC wrote: Yeah, it's definitely a big relief, although I can't lie that I much prefer CLS.

If someone does it today, I'd love them forever. Otherwise, I will do this next week, once I'm confident the lady won't recognize my voice.piccolittle wrote:I would love you forever if you did this.TLSNYC wrote:I don't know -- part of me is contemplating anonymously calling the admissions office and asking if no word yet equals rejection. I would take any email from them right now. I wish I were still in school so they could ask me for my grades. I just want to know I am on their radar.
