I emailed UNC regarding scholarships and they said there will be another wave of scholarship offers on April 5th or later. FYI.

I'm debating whether or not to send my hard earned $300 to Wake to hold a $28,000/year scholarship in case UNC runs out of money by the time they look over my app...

I feel your pain. Not cool to possibly have to burn $300. Still, if I were in your shoes, I'd sure think about it. Sure thing > a maybe.

That said, I am holding out on Wake Forest to allocate some turned down scholarship money to me...

I'm not sending in my deposit to Wake, so hopefully they'll just take my scholarship money (18K) and give it to you!

I've decided to visit Wake before I make that deposit. They extended my deadline to April 5th. C'mon UNC, show some love to us poor students .

Who did you email concerning scholarships? Just the Financial Aid department?

So based on the small sample size on LSN yesterday, like 4 I think, there was some in-state waitlists.

I'm in-state and no mail today. I keep wondering if this a good sign or a bad sign. LSN for last year says UNC kept sending out waitlists and rejections through May 5th. So, if I don't hear anything positive by April 1st, does that mean I'm in the waitlist/rejection boat?

This is driving me crazy--and I'm driving my husband crazy because he goes to work after the mail comes. I've been harassing him every day for the past month and a half about a mail update around 11:15.

I just want to know either way so I can say I will be here (insert accepted school) this fall! Sorry for the rant.

I have been following this forum for a while and I still haven't heard anything as well. Mail doesn't come until like 12:00 so I am freaking out today about checking. I think it is so strange that they have used email, regular mail, and phone calls for all kinds of responses. They need to update to a status checker and just the use of email.

So, because it's taking them SO LONG I've pretty much ruled them out - have sent my deposit and set my heart elsewhere. But just to spite them I'm not going to withdraw my application, I took the time to write it (all those extra freaking essays!!!!) they're going to take the time to read it and render a decision.

Mail came and I got nothing - except for another CapitalOne credit card offer. I wish a law school wanted me as much as CapitalOne.

I'm a NC resident who applied in October. I called on 3/23 to see if a letter had been sent (apt. is spotty on correctly delivering mail), and they said my application was still with a adcomm member. I heard back via snail mail dated 3/25 on 3/27 and was waitlisted. I was somewhat surprised because of my low LSAT even though I have bangin' softs. Gonna ride this one out. Also, my dog got a waitlist letter from UNC. He'll be riding it out as well and probably has a better chance than I do.

I called. Again. Advised them that I have a seat deposit due on the 1st and wanted to know if I'd hear anything before then. He pulled my information and informed me that my application is still with the committee and a decision has not yet been made. He said that I could receive a decision in the next couple of days but it is not likely.

Argh.

Jennifer Kott is the one that responded, informing me that there would be another wave of scholarships "sometime after April 5th."

So is it sounding like if you received some notification in the past two days then you likely got accepted or waitlisted... so then does it follow if you didn't (like me), you're straight up rejected? Le sigh.

That seems to be what today's updates on law school numbers are telling me, anyway.

I only saw updates for yesterday (3 waitlists) and one waitlist on the 27th, nothing today (just checked). Shouldn't there be a few more acceptances if we are going off of last year (3 acceptances on the 30th). I know from earlier posts that they have sent emails out as late as 11pm this year. Tomorrow and then worry? I called last Tuesday and my file hadn't even been reviewed yet. Anybody else have any thoughts on this?
