Re: Washington and Lee
Does anyone know if they sent out the e-mails all at once? Just curious if I didn't get one yet if that means I am not getting a scholarship. I would be a bit disappointed because my numbers are the same as a lot of people that did get them...

I have to share this.TWoodWil wrote:+1moonmaster3 wrote:where is my e-mail...
The moment I clicked "submit" for that message I also opened up a tab for Gmail. Got the Inbox (1). Thought to self, "Nah, couldn't be." My eyes went immediate to the subject line. It reads "Let Us Show You The Money". Hopes raised for a fraction of a second before I see it is a mass email from Northern Kentucky University - Chase College of Law. Not sure why it even ended up in the inbox since I have them flagged for the spam folder.
Le sigh...

$5,500/year. 164/3.8, non-URM. Pretty disappointing, considering the fact that I was admitted with 15 days of applying and am an active alumnus of the university. I was worried about paying sticker at Vandy, but $5500 is obviously not enough to sway.....

Yeah, I heard about scholarships from this thread and still didn't have an email. It took about 20 minutes before I noticed one in my inbox. I am sure they are still sending them out.

I'm curious about their fudgestistics though. What does "80% of students maintain this" truly mean?
Now my decision is between Washington and Lee (Monais), Local tier 2 (supar monies) and Emory (pending monais).

W&L grade distribution is engineered to having 80% of students at 3.0, though if you look in some semesters up to 90% of students have 3.0 or better.

In with 10,500 annually if I maintain a 3.0 GPA. (my numbers are 2.98 / 175 and I submitted in late November) I have a GI Bill so that should cover a lot of my tuition too and the cost of living appears to be pretty low in that area.

Congratulations to everyone who is getting the good news today!
This question is going to sound incredibly crazy, but I am curious about this alphabetical theory. Has anyone in the later part of the alphabet gotten e-mails yet?

Re: Washington and Lee
Compared with some of the offers on here, my $10,500/year seems like an insult.
Unless I am offered a bigger award, I cannot choose W&L over GULC.

Just got the email! 5,500/year. A little bit less than I would've liked since UIUC already offered me 10k/year guaranteed... oh decisions..

$30,000. So close to full...
As far as my choices go, W&L moves to the top. Nevertheless, still very close at this point in the game.
