Anyone DR 11/24 who STILL hasn't heard back? Mail came in, nothing today. I'm pretty perplexed.

Mail came for me too, but nothing from Cornell. Still holding onto the possibility that the admissions lady was lying to me over the phone.SilverE2 wrote:Anyone DR 11/24 who STILL hasn't heard back? Mail came in, nothing today. I'm pretty perplexed.

*I can understand any fear from doing it, but maybe it will hurt less if the nice people in the admissions office tell you instead of an impersonal letter.

I'm really hoping that it is an acceptance for you. It would be nice for someone ITT to get some good news.

Oh my God, I post asking if anyone hasn't receive a letter and this thread goes nuts. I think at this point we all need mental help. Cornell is famous for being a very difficult school, maybe they're trying to break us down before we even get there.
Oh yeah, and there's no chance in hell I'm calling either.

Re: Cornell waiting room
Thank goodness. See, Veritas knows that he may have to wait for the mail to arrive until, oh, goodness, no, the horror -- even WEDNESDAY, and yet he has the restraint to let the nice people at Cornell spend their time going through the rest of the EA apps. This isn't a knock on Helm or anyone else who called earlier, just someone pointing out that, at this point, waiting isn't going to change anyone's results, and that we know the difference between calling and waiting is now measured in hours. It's just not a difference worth bothering them for.Veritas wrote:Ok I called, it's a deferral.

We all waited almost half a year to take the LSAT and get a score, a month to get LRs, and at least a few weeks to get a decision rendered...an extra day or two isn't going to kill anyone.

The lady I talked to on the phone acted like it was 100% no problem to give a decision over the phone and it was a pretty typical occurrence.SilverE2 wrote:Oh my God, I post asking if anyone hasn't receive a letter and this thread goes nuts.
