I was WL'ed at Fordham earlier this week, so I'm not expecting much from BC.

I dunno, they like GPAs, so that could be good. I was also WLd at Fordham, but I'm 99% sure my GPA is the reason I haven't heard from BC or BU yet.TWoodWil wrote:Above 75% GPA, below 25% LSAT, URM, Masters DegreeNancyBotwin wrote:Hmm. It always seems to switch. Last cycle all I heard from everyone was how BU loved high GPAs and BC was LSAT centered. Now it appears to have reversed? How are we predicting this anyway? Based on LSN?
BC has a pretty damn high LSAT range of 25th: 163, Median: 166, and 75%: 167. What is BU's? I do know that BU has a higher GPA median.

Oh, I've heard the reverse. Also, LSP puts me at strong consider for BU and only consider for BC, and I'm a high LSAT splitter. So I dunno.tram988 wrote:It always seems to switch. Last cycle all I heard from everyone was how BU loved high GPAs and BC was LSAT centered.

There's gotta be some other reason that would get rejected. Those numbers are perfect for BC. Maybe he wrote BU on the personal statement or called the admissions committee fat.klussy wrote:jameschae wrote:rejected

Edit for afterthought: Are people being accepted heavy on the WE? I haven't been looking over the thread but didn't know if someone noticed a trend.

Does anyone know how bc notifies about waitlists? Is it on the status checker or do they send it through snail mail?

I dont know--BC has a very holisitic approach so maybe something caught their eye. My LSAT, being at the 25th percentile, was very low but I believe overcome by soft factors and my GPA.

My application was put on hold after the ED process. My numbers are low for BC, and because of this I have to believe that they take a more holistic approach in their application process. Additionally, an applicant's UG seems to play a big part in their decision.

Well I'm not to sure about the undergrad-- at least for me. I attended a TTTT in Boston that was written up in a local newspaper as being horrible (In all fairness I got a great education.) My numbers (LSAT) was also very low for them but I was admitted. I think they put a greater emphasis than most schools on LORS/WE/and anything else relevant. We have seen both very strong applicants in terms of numbrers rejected due to what may be less than stellar soft factors and weak applicants admitted. Who knows!

Re: BC Law 2010
I'm banking on a wholistic approach since my numbers are not particularly (read: at all) strong, so I guess I'm just trying to see where the trend is headed so I can try to predict how it'll turn out for me, which I know is entirely futile, but it's something for me to think about at work.tram988 wrote:aschleic wrote:My application was put on hold after the ED process. Re: BC Law 2010
I'm hoping for a wholistic approach as well as my LSAT is low (though my GPA is high). I have decent softs but not a prestigious undergrad. I think my PS was strong and I assume my letters of rec were. My decision was rendered yesterday so let's see how wholistic they really are hahaeven2flow wrote:I'm banking on a wholistic approach since my numbers are not particularly (read: at all) strong, so I guess I'm just trying to see where the trend is headed so I can try to predict how it'll turn out for me, which I know is entirely futile, but it's something for me to think about at work.tram988 wrote:aschleic wrote:My application was put on hold after the ED process. I got in with 167/3.49 with great softs. I think the softs matter a lot, as does a good LSAT.even2flow wrote:There's gotta be some other reason that would get rejected. My numbers aren't as strong as yours so I'm hoping my softs help. I just don't know what are considered great softs. I mean, I like my softs, but I have NO idea how they compare to people who have really good softs or even which ones will matter.sand87632 wrote:I got in with 167/3.49 with great softs.
