Kinda want to throw an app out here, as I would seriously consider mich if accepted.... but I'm starting to think it's just too late considering it would be a reach.

This cycle is weird... if you want to try for Mich, this cycle is The Cycle to do it.Mint-Berry_Crunch wrote:Kinda want to throw an app out here, as I would seriously consider mich if accepted.... but I'm starting to think it's just too late considering it would be a reach.
In other news, it's been 2 months. UMich, where is my FinAid? Are you just waiting to give me the Darrow? I mean... that'd be cool, but I thought I had to interview first

Has anyone else heard back after their Darrow interview?

My boyfriend used to work there and I would hang out with him and the residents. I may be able to answer questions.

Just got the funniest/quirkiest/nicest email from Mich asking me to apply! Claiming they had given me a fee waiver a while back - girrrrl! Show me the receipts!
Anyway, it was a really great email! Anyone else get this and considering applying?

As you'll likely continue to find, all of Michigan's correspondence are really fun and quirky. It's how they try to differentiate themselves from other law schools. Personally, I think it's a really good strategy; it definitely made me look into them more.mm2368 wrote:Just got the funniest/quirkiest/nicest email from Mich asking me to apply! I actually didn't even consider Michigan until I started getting their quirky correspondence, then did some research and fell a little bit in love. They are now one of my top three choices. I am highly impressed with their admissions outreach.RedPurpleBlue wrote:As you'll likely continue to find, all of Michigan's correspondence are really fun and quirky. Agreed. They're less formal/robotic and more "human" with jokes and such.RedPurpleBlue wrote:As you'll likely continue to find, all of Michigan's correspondence are really fun and quirky. I'm inclined to agree! I really liked it, and you're right, it has the effect of making you want to know more. Time for some research. Similar stats, and similar cycle... interviewed with Penn, in at UVA and GULC. Feel like I can swing Mich! But it's late in the cycle, so I'll think about thisDoYouEvenTLS wrote:mm2368 wrote:Just got the funniest/quirkiest/nicest email from Mich asking me to apply! I know this is probably an unpopular opinion, but I've already said it once so here goes. Just apply! This cycle is suuuper weird, and LSAT scares are down. If there was ever a time to apply NOW IS THE TIME. Especially if you have a fee waiver, it's $30 for the opportunity to go to a REALLY good school, or have a very compelling bargaining chip. Consider it.mm2368 wrote:Similar stats, and similar cycle... interviewed with Penn, in at UVA and GULC. Feel like I can swing Mich! LSAT scares are never down. It's always scary with the possibility of a rogue logic gameS.Picquery wrote:I know this is probably an unpopular opinion, but I've already said it once so here goes. I'll just add that I met with Dean Z for like 20 minutes recently and it was like meeting with one of those emails. She's adorable. It doesn't seem like it's just a marketing strategy (though it definitely doesn't hurt in that regard).brinicolec wrote:Agreed.
