Re: Columbia c/o 2020 applicants (2016-2017)
FWIW, I asked in the Columbia students taking questions thread if it's possible to get a scholarship later from Columbia if you don't receive a butler/hammy with acceptance, and one guy said you can definitely get more than 50% scholly later. So there's that one anecdote.
Also, I'm assuming if acz26's friend was able to negotiate up from a butler to a hammy, some negotiations must occur!

60k and up (over 3 years). But everyone is different of course. I just don't think Columbia's job prospects are THAT much better than Duke or UVA or UPenn to justify sticker vs scholarship moneyLenaFarrer wrote:How much is $$$. Moved to NYC after MVPB undergrad... it is so much fun here that CLS vs HLS would actually be a question on my mind.LenaFarrer wrote:What about Michigan or Berkeley?RParadela wrote:60k and up (over 3 years). Re: Columbia c/o 2020 applicants (2016-2017)
Michigan and Berkley are a bit below the 3 I mentioned above, but again, not a huge difference. I believe Michigan and Berkley are around 60% biglaw + fed clerkships while Columbia is around 75-80. (UPENN, Duke, and UVA are around 70-75)LenaFarrer wrote:What about Michigan or Berkeley?RParadela wrote:60k and up (over 3 years). But everyone is different of course. Re: Columbia c/o 2020 applicants (2016-2017)
yup but those lower numbers (esp Berkeley) have a lot to do with self selection and PI ppl. When you include PI then I'd put Berkeley and Mich on par with the other 3RParadela wrote:Michigan and Berkley are a bit below the 3 I mentioned above, but again, not a huge difference. I'm assuming you Hamilton winners have LSAT>75, but anyone get a Hammy with 50<GPA<75, or is that more Butler territory?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
