has anyone ever been waitlisted or even denied after an interview?? It's almost 20 days and with the first deposit deadline approaching, i'm starting to worry...

I'm in the same boat. Interviewed exactly 1 month ago and still waiting. I have to accept one of the scholarships from other schools I've applied to by April 1st so I'm starting to worry. I don't want to hold out for WashU and lose those scholarships if I may not get in or get in late & have to pay sticker

You mind sharing your numbers? Mine is 2.9 170 pretty much a splitter lol

My LSAT is just under <25% & GPA is slightly <50% with 40+ months of full-time work experience throughout undergrad & I'm from the St. Louis area. I'm living on hopes and dreams for anything at this point lol

So I hadn't heard anything re scholarships and decided to send an email. I got an email back saying, basically, "We're trying to get them out soon. What other schools gave you scholarships? Send us PDFs and we'll put them in your file to help the scholarship committee make their decision."

Not sure how I feel about this. Wouldn't that allow WUSTL to give me less than they may have originally without seeing my other offers?

Has anyone else experienced this? Did you just send in your offers, as requested?

Don't do this. I made that mistake with another school, and they ended up giving me exactly what they needed to top their peer schools' offers. Idk if I would have gotten extra otherwise, but it's possible, and if you think about this if from a game-theoretic perspective, withholding information is most likely to your advantage.

I applied pretty late (app. completed 2/22/16). My LSAT/GPA are 166/3.69, so I'm right around the median for both. Haven't heard anything from them since I applied. It seems like most people are getting emails for interviews within a few days. Is this a bad sign?

I'm still waiting for decisions from a number of schools so sent in an email asking if deposit deadline extension is possible. They responded by an email saying "here is more money, so deposit by April 1st."
$10k/yr stipend in addition to full tuition is so tempting... i guess that's what washu wants...lol

Can I ask what your stats are?

WashU is getting super generous to me with money... my numbers aren't that high. it could be my engineering background. stipend came as IP Scholarship.

Same LSAT, 25 < GPA < 50; this inspired me to email them for an extension - even if they don't give it, I'm hoping for a scholly bump from $135k to (close to) full tuition. How long did they take to answer your email?

I got a WL decision on Thursday. The lack of a decision might be better, though. Maybe no decision means that after the deadline passes you'll be an early admission to fill a seat. A priority WL without actually being a WL, in effect. Either way, good luck. Hope you get better news

I'm now feeling like the response I got in 2 days was just a coincidence... so many people are saying it's taking more than a week to hear back for any request...

Technically speaking, all I got was an additional scholly email. People from previous years have reported having bumps in their scholly package when they didn't make any move when deadline was approaching. Since I got this email about additional scholly soon after I sent in the request, I thought it was their answer, but it might have been not... It didn't really have a single word about deadline extension I requested.

Admissions definitely knows about and semi-reads these wustl threads, I was told that from an admissions person directly during my cycle last year

I'd like more time to decide on something this important.

That's what I thought. In Emory thread, the dean left a long announcement-like message, and there really is no reason to think WashU wouldn't. I feel like these schools are taking similar strategies and I've seen someone saying "my interviewer specifically mentioned TLS etc."
I think I'll be fine even if the office saw it since it is a typical move for people to go for scholly nego especially when deposit deadline is approaching and they can't make an easy decision. I doubt if anyone decided to go for nego just based on my story only really; they would have done it anyway. But just to be safe and feel less guilty People saying "this inspired me to..." makes me feel like I'm the one who's making them do it lol.

Anyway, last year? Are you a current student here to take questions or something?
