I got the email at 9, and checked my status at 9:25. It says

Current Status: A decision has been reached
Current Status Date: 2/16/2016
Decision Status: Admitted!
Decision Status Date: 2/16/2016

Not sure if this has been asked here before--

Does anyone know if it's a good idea to actually send a LOCI if you're WL... even though they say not to? I've been sifting through some other threads and the advice on this at other schools seems to vary-- some say do it anyways, others say forget about it. I'm wondering if anyone knows specifically about Berkeley on this issue...

The email I got detailed a little but about how Berkeley ranks its waitlist, but it basically said there's no point in sending in additional information since you've already been ranked and there's nothing that'll change your rank. So, I'm guessing you can send something, but it's not going to have an affect on whether or not you're getting off the waitlist.

Headed to the Bay Area to visit some family next week, so I scheduled an interview with admissions.

Think this will help me get off of FR2 by showing continued interest, or am I just wasting their time and mine?

So I guess my question is tied a bit to clarf's bit about scheduling an interview... I thought they didn't even do that?

I submitted in late December and went FR1 in early February. The email stated that decisions should go out on or around February 26th.
