Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
I've seen a lot of acceptances from group interviews. Has anyone been accepted after an alumni interview yet? If so, what was the turnaround time?

I was accepted after an alumni interview. My letter was marked about five days after my interview and then the letter took a week to get to me. My interviewer said he submitted his notes the same day.strongbadge wrote:I've seen a lot of acceptances from group interviews. Has anyone been accepted after an alumni interview yet? I interviewed last month before Thanksgiving and still haven't heard back yet. Not too surprised because of the holiday and also I'm a splitter.strongbadge wrote:I've seen a lot of acceptances from group interviews. Has anyone been accepted after an alumni interview yet? Has anyone on the West Coast received their acceptance letter (for the letters that went out last week)?

I wish I could say that helped, but it makes me more nervous in some ways. I will be so happy when this process is over

Yes, I did a group interview. I'm a reverse splitter so I was happy to even get preferred status, not that it means that much.threatlevelmidnight wrote:Did you interview?clare1819 wrote:Got Preferred Waitlisted on Friday.

When was your group interview? How long did it take for you to hear back?clare1819 wrote:Yes, I did a group interview. Had my interview today - asked why gtown before I even sat down in the chair and it threw me off a little, but overall the most engaging interview I've had so far. Out of all the interviewers, he genuinely seemed interested in listening to me. Also said it typically takes 2 to 3 weeks to receive a decision after they receive the report so I really hope that's not true.

Good luck! How long did it take for your interview to contact you? I still haven't heard from mine yet.threatlevelmidnight wrote:Had my interview today - asked why gtown before I even sat down in the chair and it threw me off a little, but overall the most engaging interview I've had so far. He contacted me within a week. The interview should have been last week but he had to reschedule. Otherwise, he was very prompt.sbenj wrote:Good luck! Did anyone receive scholarship information yet? Does GULC send out info with admission or a few weeks later?

I noticed this just now! No letter yet though, and I'm also wondering if the mailings box had always looked like that and I just didn't realize. Aagh!OLitch wrote:Yep. This.skimmilk wrote:Mine was larger than the requirement box. Looked like it could hold maybe three lines worth of info? Not sure if it was always that big, or if it has just changed for everyone, but if that is the case it is quite a weird coincidence that I noticed it when my letter happened to come in.atlantiz wrote:ok how big is it? if the box got bigger...mine is almost same size with requirement list which has nothing in it.
not really remember how big it was before![]()
think i am getting little bit crazy man
skimmilk wrote:Hello, just stopping by to add more fuel to the "crazy fire." After seeing this I went on my status checker today and noticed my mailings section looked larger. Just checked the mail and I had an acceptance letter waiting for me... So this may actually be a thing.BertYoo wrote:wait is this really a thing? i just checked mine and it does seem larger...OLitch wrote:I too noticed a change with the mailings section on the same day (11/20.) I am pretty sure that my mailings section got a bit bigger. My acceptance letter was dated five days after I noticed the change. No other change to my status checker has been made.OLitch wrote:Just out of curiosity, do you have the title "Mailings" on your application page? I did not see the mailings box until today...(or maybe I just have some bad memory)
I may just be adding fuel to the crazy fire. Just like Jesus' face on burnt toast, I was willing to accept anything as a sign from above.

How long has it been taking between going complete and getting an interview request?

Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
I'm going to go out on a limb and say the dimensions of text boxes in a status checker that does not provide admissions decision information are meaningless for predicting decisions. I say this for the sake of people's calmness, of course
.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
