Stats? I wonder what the threshold for rejection vs preferred waitlist vs waitlist was this year in terms of GPA/LSAT. I know softs play big sway factors but just curious.Dulman wrote:Rejected (which does not come as a surprise).

Non-Preferred waitlist (lol). Not too surprised, I'll withdraw soon.
Congrats to all the admits!

My app is still just "Complete." So anxious!
Congrats to all the admits and sorry to those rejected/good luck to those waitlisted!
I'll probably be part of the next wave

Also curious as to how many of the people that were admitted/waitlisted/rejected completed the optional essay/box/video?

I did the video and knew that it was a risky video. It probably took away from my app than added to it (but obviously I can't be certain, I just know that I've had better results at other schools where I didn't submit a video.)ErgoSum wrote:Also curious as to how many of the people that were admitted/waitlisted/rejected completed the optional essay/box/video?

WLed today. Pretty bummed. Slightly below the GPA median. Above the 75th LSAT. Not even priority waitlist.

I feel like Non-preferred WL is basically just a nice rejection. I don't really know why they would have it. The email essentially says, "we think you're ok, but there are others who are more ok than you, so choose another school." loldknickwins wrote:WLed today. Pretty bummed. Re: Georgetown c/o 2018 Applicants
Sorry to everyone who got a ding or WL today.

I was admitted and consciously decided not to write any of the optional essays or risk it with a video because I knew that nothing I'd write/film would be beneficial to my application. I also didn't interview so I guess I just snuck through the cracks because my numbers aren't that greatErgoSum wrote:Also curious as to how many of the people that were admitted/waitlisted/rejected completed the optional essay/box/video?

Mange to get a username/password through asw, but turn out to be an invalid combination when trying to login. Good news?

yeah it can take up to a week to work, but it should be good news (I don't think anybody has reported being able to create an account that doesn't work who wasn't later able to get in)Veronica2015 wrote:Mange to get a username/password through asw, but turn out to be an invalid combination when trying to login. I'm still patiently waiting for my interviewer to contact me. It's only been one week so far, but I'm so anxious!

Maybe, but I've read elsewhere on the forum that Georgetown has a lot of movement.Tr3 wrote:I feel like Non-preferred WL is basically just a nice rejection. Also have read this, but I think there's also been discussion that some of this could just be because of the super large class sizes they try to fill.ineedacupofcoffee wrote:Maybe, but I've read elsewhere on the forum that Georgetown has a lot of movement.Tr3 wrote:I feel like Non-preferred WL is basically just a nice rejection. Same here. They couldn't find one in my area so I'm waiting to do a skype interview with a DC-area alum! Come on, interview, show me some love...deoncarlette wrote:I'm still patiently waiting for my interviewer to contact me. It's only been one week so far, but I'm so anxious!
