Had a complete update the day before getting accepted. I think I had 3 before a decision.MnM22 wrote:Those who did get accepted, did you have any date changes before, or just a random email?
And for those still waiting on the verifying part, don't lose hope and go neurotic as it took over a month and a half for me to get a complete lol.

Re: Cornell c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
FYI for folks with upcoming interviews: I had my Skype interview recently and it was actually with a current student, not an admissions officer. She had my resume but not the rest of my application, so her questions were mostly resume-based (plus some questions about why I'm interested in Cornell and what other schools I'm considering). It was very casual and really great to get a current student's perspective on the school. So anyway, if you've got an interview coming up you might want to think up some questions you could ask if you get a student interviewer rather than an admissions officer.
Fingers crossed for a decision soon!

Complete date 2! Hopefully that's a good sign. Went from 1/8 (around there) to 1/28.

Oh, thank God I'm not the only one. 11/6 Where are you all in terms or #s? I'm GPA>75% LSAT=Median. Maybe there is a reason we are all still pending. It looks like the bulk of the last wave was for people LSAT>75%.bostonbrewer wrote:10/31 complete for me. My #s are 3.6 166, so basically at the GPA median and 1 pt below the LSAT medianMnM22 wrote:Oh, thank God I'm not the only one. 11/6 Where are you all in terms or #s? I'm GPA>75% LSAT=Median. Materials received mid-December, and had the longest wait of verifying materials. Had an update today (your application is complete) with future tense "will be forwarded to the admissions committee" -- not sure what this all means...

Re: Cornell c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
Could someone help me with this (sorry for the annoyance):
I've been complete since early November with no word from the school and little movement on my status checker. I am above Cornell's median GPA and significantly above their 75th LSAT (175).
I am a bit worried about the possibility of YP, especially as I am seriously considering Cornell if they throw money at me.
1. Should I send them a carefully worded email expressing my continued interest and asking them if they need more materials from my end?
2. Having not heard any word from Cornell since I submitted my app in November (no interview requests, etc.), is it safe to assume I am not in contention for the Dean's Scholarship?
Help would be appreciated and thanks in advance. Cheers.

Honestly I'm not sure anyone here can truly advice you properly. In their emails (like most schools) they always encourage you to talk to them, so why not do just that. Send them that email stating you are still very interested in attending.Rainy wrote:Could someone help me with this (sorry for the annoyance):

Does Cornell have one person reviewing apps? 2 months just to complete applications?

Hm, so Cornell takes forever to "verify" thing for completion, I see. 35 days and counting...

Yeah, honestly, if you look above your comment you'll see we were just talking about how long it is taking. A lot of us don't know what to do either. I wrote a "Why Cornell?" but I'm still getting worried.Babum wrote:Honestly I'm not sure anyone here can truly advice you properly.
