so spent some time looking over LSN from last cycle. It seems like all that is left to this cycle is a giant reject wave on 3/30 and a giant wait list wave on 4/16 that nobody ever moves off of. Am I missing something?

gg, besides the very occasional asha call to the late submits (some people just went complete and they promise to review each application indiscriminately)az21833 wrote:so spent some time looking over LSN from last cycle. March 4th of course!Audeamus wrote:when did you apply?dnptan wrote:Mine isn't even complete yet.
The way I see it, you can't lose hope until I get "complete" because Asha said: "First, I review each file. Files are read in the order they become complete -- in other words, we do not sort by grades or LSATs." Therefore if mine isn't complete yet, it means it hasn't reached the top of the pile. This in turn means some applications are still being reviewed.
Promise to update as soon as mine goes complete!

Re: Yale c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 cycle)
I don't - I only decided to apply to law school in November, and subsequently took the December LSAT. I had no idea I wanted to go into law (parents are lawyers - natural aversion) until I started working at my IP consulting firm, and even then it took a few months to sink in. I was considering passing over this cycle (as per TLS advice) but in the end decided to apply any way. It would have been very out of character for me to not even give it a shot, as the only major repercussion is a few hundred bucks. Applying was the best decision I made this year - late or not!Lagunitan wrote:Man, why did we apply so late? I feel like an idiot.dnptan wrote:Oh Lagunitan my HLS late-applicant buddy!
Best of luck to everyone!

Didn't applications open up later than usual this cycle?az21833 wrote:so spent some time looking over LSN from last cycle. It seems like all that is left to this cycle is a giant reject wave on 3/30 and a giant wait list wave on 4/16 that nobody ever moves off of. Am I missing something?
I didn't have all of my ducks in a row until the October LSAT came back, so I didn't pay a ton of attention until November.

...So, was speaking Russian some sort of admission requirement I was unaware of?
(Yale, if it matters and if you're reading this, my best friend speaks Russian! Which is almost like me speaking it except for how not at all.)
Thanksgiving complete here... at this point, I really just want an answer. I'm totally emotionally okay with going to Harvard and this is the only thing stopping me from sending in the deposit.
