Re: BC 2012-2013 Applicants
Njl stats are the only thing to come out and while those are important I also want to know what happens to me if I'm not top quarter and i don't land big law. Imo bc is stronger here and that's really important.skri65 wrote:There's a shot BC's superior employment stats compared to BU may end this year. If you don't hit about top 25-30% you have to go small or mid size firm. If you don't go small or mid size, you have to go PI.AlanShore wrote:Njl stats are the only thing to come out and while those are important I also want to know what happens to me if I'm not top quarter and i don't land big law. Re: BC 2012-2013 Applicants
Yeah I was trying to say that BU's underemployment and unemployed rate has been higher in years past so while big law stats are important, pi/small and mid law stats are just as important and bc might pull away here.BCLS wrote:If you don't hit about top 25-30% you have to go small or mid size firm. Yeah that's true. I know a lot of people very successful in landing these non-biglaw jobs.AlanShore wrote:Yeah I was trying to say that BU's underemployment and unemployed rate has been higher in years past so while big law stats are important, pi/small and mid law stats are just as important and bc might pull away here.BCLS wrote:If you don't hit about top 25-30% you have to go small or mid size firm. I agree with all of you. Obviously, it's not just about this list. Was just throwing it out there. It will be interesting as all the stats and new LST come out.

Re: BC 2012-2013 Applicants
Yeah I'd like to see the non njl #s too. I think BU had a particularly bad year last year and while BC has pulled away from them a bit, esp. with respect to nonbiglaw numbers, they're really peer schools and I feel BU made a strong effort to fix whatever it is that was holding them back in 2011.skri65 wrote:I agree with all of you. Re: BC 2012-2013 Applicants
I just noticed that as of 2/18 my application is "being reviewed," which is somewhat concerning because they indicated that they would wait for my February LSAT score to review me. Seeing as the scores will be released within a weeks time, at least accordingly to LSAC, should I attempt to contact them or just let it be?

Got an email from BC today. Really hoped it was scholarship money but it was a professor telling me to contact her if I have any questions. Nice gesture though

They'll be all over that 168. Remember, medians dropped to 164 this year.rufus&miles wrote:I am completely in love with BC since my visit last Friday, I'm just hoping they can offer me some money so I can go!!

BC's one of my top choices too. Hopefully the acceptance/schollies go everyone's way (especially splitters, whom I can relate to!)
