It's really funny because everytime someone brings it up they're acknowledging how butt hurt they are over it. Let it go people. You got trolled, and you fed the shit out of him. Now it's like you want him back. All in all, it was a 180 trolling.Anonymous4444 wrote:ha that troll has received the most attention ive ever seen

The interview faq on their site claims that some people will be accepted without an interview, but who knows about the specifics or even if that really is going to be the case. I definitely got the sense during my interview that they themselves were still trying to figure out the process.Mr. Elshal wrote:I tried asking this before but nobody came forward. He was one of the better TLS trolls and he deserves the attention. When people feed shitty trolls is when I get ir8.grapefruits wrote:It's really funny because everytime someone brings it up they're acknowledging how butt hurt they are over it. Let it go people. seems like a good time to give this a bump. early results do look promising for interviewees.Crowing wrote: Please use the following form to anonymously report if you have already received a decision after your interview.

i mean it makes sense there would be no dings reported since those people prob didn't even come back to this thread after getting dinged. but there weren't many dings on wednesday according to lsn and i don't think there was a single tls reported one.Anonymous4444 wrote:yeah but seems since there are no dings im skeptical that everyone responded

It's not crazy that the threshold for getting an interview and the threshold for getting waitlist (instead of being rejected) are similar. But I agree that it's probably that at least one person interviewed ended up getting rejected.Anonymous4444 wrote:yeah but seems since there are no dings im skeptical that everyone responded

Re: Chicago c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I think this is true. My guess is that an interview just means you're not getting automatically rejected, and probably won't (until the summer, when it's off the waitlist) unless you bomb the interview. This is based on the fact that I got an interview, but basically no one with my numbers has gotten anything but a rejection or waitlist in the past couple of cycles, except for ED applicants. I had been expecting a rejection, but now I'm expecting a waitlist.Yukos wrote:It's not crazy that the threshold for getting an interview and the threshold for getting waitlist (instead of being rejected) are similar. Complete 11/20, still. Does this mean no one has even looked at my application? Or has it just been dismissed already?

Re: Chicago c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
As a 11/28 complete, I called the admissions office last week for info
It means they haven't even looked at it yet. I really don't know what Chicago's plan in this year at the rate they're going. And it sucks cause they're one of my top choices, my SO already got into grad school there, and it still doesn't look like there's hope on the horizon....

Seriously, if its five months through the interview process and they're still only looking at the first two months of apps then at some point they've gotta have a call-to-order meeting and get it rolling!

Chicago does have an earlier cutoff than most schools for applications though (Feb. 1) so maybe there's still time.

Re: Chicago c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Has anyone responded to this? I'm also wondering whether to rewrite my PS to include my DS or to submit my DS separately? I know I'm cutting this close to the deadline, but I just decided recently to give Chicago a shot. Its an incredible school and I am hoping I have a chance! 169/3.76 StatsAudeamus wrote:I am still waiting to go UR at Chicago. It's definitely a reach for me, and I am wondering if I should a "Why Chicago" version of my LGBT diversity statement. The application instructions said diversity should be discussed in the PS, so I didn't initially submit it as an addendum (though it's already written). I'm worried it might be too much or seem like I didn't follow the instructions despite the fact that it is very distinct from my PS. Thoughts?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
