To my UR 01/09 people... Any idea when we'll get a decision?

Just to explicitly answer this question, there is no fin aid info in the packet. There's some forms to apply for need based, but I'm sure merit won't be coming out until they settle the named scholarships.

It seemed that those that went UCR2 1/2 heard a week later, so I am working on the assumption that will occur with the 1/8 1/9 people.Teflon_Don wrote:To my UR 01/09 people... Any idea when we'll get a decision?

Status checker is giving me a really complicated error screen. Oh well.
Come on, Penn, show me some love. UCR2 12/21.

LSAC status checker down globally, not just for Penn.francesfarmer wrote:Status checker is giving me a really complicated error screen. Oh well.

People whine how slow Michigan is with its internal status checker, but today they get a gold star

Status checker is working for me again! Good, I can put this paper bag down....
I just toured Penn in person this weekend and now I can't stop refreshing my checker, it's an insanely beautiful campus and law school.

Are you guys all ED? I am confused.... I've been UCR since 12/17 but haven't heard anything yet (RD). Is this a bad sign? AH

"Your application is currently in the queue for review by the Admissions Committee. The Admissions Committee is committed to a holistic review of every application. Thus, it is the policy of the Admissions Committee that every file be reviewed by at least two members of the Committee. Therefore, the review process may take up to twelve weeks from the date of completion before a decision is rendered, unless you have applied Early Decision. Thank you for your patience and continued interest in the university of pennsylvania law school."
Does that mean i'm UCR1 or 2? it appeared a while after I went File Complete 12/7
I'm RD. is this normal?

tekumamba, that's my status as well and I believe it means we're just "complete" and not under UCR1 or 2.

to my lay ears, in the queue for review sounds like it's not even in review yet. i would assume they're still finalizing ED2s right now.

Re: Penn C/O 2016 Applicants (2012-2013 Cycle)
UCR means "under committee review." Your status will update to those words, and the date will change. At that point, you are UCR1. Then, at some point, your date will change again, but you will still be under committee review. That means you are UCR2. People tend to get decisions soon after this point.tekumamba wrote:"Your application is currently in the queue for review by the Admissions Committee. Thanks, hopefully I get it... Would really make Penn an amazing prospect for me. Got the invitation by email, and it's $65-$75,000 (whereas Levy is full tuition + fees).az21833 wrote:amazing, how does that compare to the levy? invite by email? best of luck on the essay.LSATSCORES2012 wrote:Received an invite to apply for the James Wilson scholarship around an hour ago, was accepted on the 10th.
ETA: It asks for a "brief" essay, but doesn't specify a length. I'm assuming that I should limit it to one page at the most?
