Yeah, I wouldn't mind living in either. They're decent student housing.FeelTheHeat wrote:They're solid by most accounts. Thoughts on Hawaiian Village or Piccadilly? I can handle outdated as long as they are clean and safe.

I had a friend that lived in Hawaiian village. The apartment itself seemed like it was kind of dingy, but the woman at the front desk was super helpful to me when I was looking there this past year. That whole area is relatively safe too. A lot of the crime happens down 20th or on the east side of campus.MichNole19 wrote:Thoughts on Hawaiian Village or Piccadilly? Camelot is legit for the price but the apartments themselves are old. Pool area is really nice though.Dream Machine wrote:I know I've seen a few UF Law students post in this thread. Does anyone know anything about Camelot, Cazabella, or Camelot apartments?
Cazabella is really nice but a little pricy IMHO.

I also toured the studio at The Continuum and really liked it a lot. This is a super long post already, so if you want info on The Continuum, let me know.[/quote]
Those that looked at/signed at the Continuum, did you sign a 12 month lease? I spoke to the lady at the front desk and she mentioned that if I wasn't in a 12 month program, I could sign a 9 month lease. She made it sound that law school would quailfy for a 9 month lease since I dont plan on taking Summer Classes. Curious if anyone has negotatied the lease terms.

Not sure about that, but I do know that 1Ls can move in early. She said we can do August 1 or August 10. The regular move-in day is August 15.MichNole19 wrote: Those that looked at/signed at the Continuum, did you sign a 12 month lease? Does the waitlist usually move after the deposit deadline?

I got off the wait list around this time last year. I think it was the first round of wait list acceptances, not sure. Go team wait list!

Team wait list sucks. If I dont hear from UF by the end of the month, Im going to go with fsu which isnt bad, just doesnt have all the joint degree options that uf does.bendtheslurry wrote:I got off the wait list around this time last year. Accepted today, however I find myself in a dilemma between fsu and uf. Ive been thinking that Ill be going to fsu for weeks now so apparently Ive become attached to the notion without realizing it. I know that they are approx equal in rankings etc so I have no idea how to make my decision being as indecisive as I naturally am.

I did this too, well between UF and LSU. Did you go to undergrad at either place? Meh, go to FSU, there are probably less tools and d-bags there.beachy wrote:Accepted today, however I find myself in a dilemma between fsu and uf. If I were you, I would probably think about where I want to practice and what type of alumni connections I have there (if any) and hopefully that would help the decision.Have you spoken to your assigned UF alumnus yet?beachy wrote:Accepted today, however I find myself in a dilemma between fsu and uf. I dont know anything about an assigned alumnus...then again I am an alumna, just not of the law school.lynzl84 wrote:If I were you, I would probably think about where I want to practice and what type of alumni connections I have there (if any) and hopefully that would help the decision.Have you spoken to your assigned UF alumnus yet?beachy wrote:Accepted today, however I find myself in a dilemma between fsu and uf. I am planning on joining the military jag after school so the area is not what Im concerned about so much as which school is a better fit (which is what leaves me stumped)
I went to UF as an undergrad. Actually, as a general rule, I do find that the people are a lot nicer in tally than they are in gainesville. Obviously, thats subjective but its been my experience across the board.bendtheslurry wrote:I did this too, well between UF and LSU. Did you go to undergrad at either place? I jumped the gun there just a bit. I believe you should have someone assigned to you to answer any questions. I know I do. It will take a couple of days though, most likely.beachy wrote:I dont know anything about an assigned alumnus...then again I am an alumna, just not of the law school. .
