No clue. UVA is not predictable. Unless they explicitly told someone something like they are done using the phone for the day, I don't think there is any way we would be able to know yet about this. good luck! I am guessing you will get in, very good stats

Congrats, in state/ed? At this stage I'd imagine the scholarship stuff has to be mainly merit based, since you don't fill out need access stuff for the app (or at least I didn't). That's awesome though, I submitted around that date too, gives me hope of hearing back haha.

Yeah, merit would be mainly GPA/LSAT. Thanks I hope so, I actually have strong ties to the area but I might not have done a great job communicating that, guess we'll see. Congrats again though, that's a pretty awesome early christmas present haha.

Still haven't heard back despite a late September complete date and a Why UVA . This is really strange...

I haven't gone through the whole thread, so I'm sorry if this has been discussed 30-40 pages back, but does UVA's status checker ever say anything? I submitted a couple weeks ago and it's been blank other saying that I applied for a JD in the full-time program for the year 2012. For other schools it at least says application received...

Mine is at Complete. When its complete there is text at the way top of the page, a little paragraph, describing how your application is complete. After this complete status, I am not sure what it changes to or when, since I have just only been at this one status.

Mine is at Complete. When its complete there is text at the way top of the page, a little paragraph, describing how your application is complete. After this complete status, I am not sure what it changes to or when, since I have just only been at this one status.

Wow totally missed that paragraph, maybe it's just that UVA is the only school I've applied to so far that reports the status this way. Thanks for the help.

Has the admissions office told anyone when they are leaving for break? I know sometimes they'll do this, such as when Cornell told someone they were leaving on the 20th.

I too received an email at about 11:30 asking to call Dean Dugas. Thought something was wrong with my app! Submitted 10/26. I called, he didnt pick up so I left a voicemail, he must have gone to lunch.

borderline RD candidate. applied in early september. never wrote a Why UVa (dumb, i know). getting nervous. better to send a Why UVA now, or wait and see if i get waitlisted and write an loci? what would you do?
