Congrats to everyone who has heard today! Do we know if they are done making phone calls for the day, or should I keep compulsively checking my phone?

No clue. UVA is not predictable. Unless they explicitly told someone something like they are done using the phone for the day, I don't think there is any way we would be able to know yet about this. good luck! I am guessing you will get in, very good statsLily Pad wrote:Congrats to everyone who has heard today! Thanks! I think you have a lot of other great acceptances to look forward to (if you haven't gotten them already)Davidbentley wrote:Oops Sorry... I thought i had them in the profile.

Re: UVA c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Yeah, merit would be mainly GPA/LSAT. Thanks I hope so, I actually have strong ties to the area but I might not have done a great job communicating that, guess we'll see. Congrats again though, that's a pretty awesome early christmas present haha.lawschoolquestions57 wrote:maxpower430 wrote:Congrats, in state/ed? At this stage I'd imagine the scholarship stuff has to be mainly merit based, since you don't fill out need access stuff for the app (or at least I didn't). That's awesome though, I submitted around that date too, gives me hope of hearing back haha.lawschoolquestions57 wrote:Is there a criteria by which scholarship offers are given out? Received 20k.
Submitted 11/15, admitted today!
Nope, out of state and regular d. Oh I see, is merit = LSAT? Yeah, I'm sure you'll hear of something great!

Hey thanks, submit/complete date were the beginning of November/one week later. glthestillpoint wrote:Congrats! Though UVA seems to have no discernible pattern whatsoever.

Still haven't heard back despite a late September complete date and a Why UVA . This is really strange...

Re: UVA c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I haven't gone through the whole thread, so I'm sorry if this has been discussed 30-40 pages back, but does UVA's status checker ever say anything? I submitted a couple weeks ago and it's been blank other saying that I applied for a JD in the full-time program for the year 2012. For other schools it at least says application received...

Re: UVA c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Mine is at Complete. When its complete there is text at the way top of the page, a little paragraph, describing how your application is complete. After this complete status, I am not sure what it changes to or when, since I have just only been at this one status.bball1997 wrote:I haven't gone through the whole thread, so I'm sorry if this has been discussed 30-40 pages back, but does UVA's status checker ever say anything? Wow totally missed that paragraph, maybe it's just that UVA is the only school I've applied to so far that reports the status this way. Thanks for the help.so_fetch wrote:Mine is at Complete. Has the admissions office told anyone when they are leaving for break? I know sometimes they'll do this, such as when Cornell told someone they were leaving on the 20th.

Just got an e-mail from Mr. Faulk asking me to give him a call to discuss my application. Anyone else get this and know what to expect?
Edit: In with a $20K/year scholarship. Absolutely speechless.

Received the email, called Anne back and I'm IN! I definitely was not expecting this today. Splitters have hope! OOS, decent softs (nothing spectacular) and an average Why UVA statement. Submitted around Halloween.
