Yeah, there's been a trickle of great acceptances with $$ coming out. I don't know what that means for anyone else, but at least there's SOME movement going on. Good luck!

+1 that is really nice of him! he sent me an e-mail to call him when i got a chance. When i called him and told him my name he started talking about how much he loved my PS, recalled specific names from it etc, asked if we were still in touch, talked about clinics he thought i'd be interested in, and was just seriously the nicest guy everrrr. i was shocked by how personal he was.

+1, except I talked to Jason Dugas. UVA takes forever, but I get the impression they do comb through the details of every app. I also agree with the less competitive applicant pool theory. It's making it possible for some of us to sneak in places we are borderline with a strong PS/LORs/etc.

Edit: BTW, is the above considered UR at Uva or will they actually say File Under Review a la Duke?

Status updated again today, third complete date. Looking back through the thread, it doesn't seem that there is anything necessarily significant about this...?

What is going on here? My status along with a bunch of others hasn't moved since I submitted (10/26 for me). Why so much movement on some files and so little on others?

Hopefully it's meaningless in a good way, i.e. I don't get a ding email in the next couple of hours.

Still at my first date. I sent another letter from LSAC and it still didn't update.

Ok, called and got the voicemail, left a message telling when its convenient for him to call me back. He just called back and I'm in with $25,000 per year!! Have been stuck at UR since 11/4, not sure if there was one before that, got email saying they'd received my application 9/27, know it completed when my third recommender submitted his letter around 10/15. RD, non-URM, 170, 3.9, is there anything else? Too excited to think!
