I was accepted off the waitlist today, and I had a 160/4.0/non-URM. There's still hope!LS-boundNYC wrote:Has it been all 167s who got in?

Sent in a LOCI once a month, visited and toured after the WL decision and spoke with two people in admissions. They DEFINITELY care if you are committed! Be sure to emphasize that!
I truly hope so because I have visited, written 2 loci and sent a few emails pretty much saying how they are my top choice...I got the email updating the WL today so I'm keeping my fingers crossed! Congrats by the waysmartblonde87 wrote:There's me... 3.92/156. I'm speechlessLS-boundNYC wrote:Has it been all 167s who got in?

Haha I better stay away from you guys then! (See avatar)msridiculous447 wrote:Can I assume from your name you're also a Sabres fan? If so I sincerely hope you end up at GW so we can start a contingent of Buffalo fans.

Haha seriously! I kind of feel bad for you tho because you may have the worst goaltending in the playoffs and as a former goalie its tough to watchphilswfc2008 wrote:Haha I better stay away from you guys then! Perhaps but...(and not to derail this thread too much), in the "new" NHL, you don't necessarily need a big-name, stud goalie anymore to win the Cup. Antti Niemi proved that without a shadow of a doubt last year. Think of some other goalies on Cup-winning teams in recent years...Fleury, Osgood, Ward. None of them I would classify as "elite".justhockey31 wrote: Haha seriously! I agree with that especially since Philly is so gifted offensively however, we can all admit that the Sabres were not much besides their goaltending and that took the series to 7. Boucher needs to play very well when you guys run in to Boston (top goalie), or Washington (average goalie - great offense), TB (Roloson is playing well, great forwards) etc. Plus, I actually thought Niemi played great for you guys. I could literally talk NHL playoffs all day because I love it so much but I'm guessing the thread should get back on track...any word from the WL lately? Yesterday seemed oddly quiet after the movement on Wednesday.philswfc2008 wrote:Perhaps but...(and not to derail this thread too much), in the "new" NHL, you don't necessarily need a big-name, stud goalie anymore to win the Cup. Having said that, except for part of the first period in Game 5, Brian Boucher was very solid in net in the last series. If he keeps it up, we'll be fine - although Boston will be very, very tough. Of course, if Boucher falls back to Earth, and the goaltending carousel starts spinning again, we could be in big trouble
Now there's a charge.
