Does it always show up as a 612 number? I rarely get calls from unknown numbers (except UVA) and missed one while on the train earlier today.

It's a 510 number I think.

Now even Crackberry can be a Bear instead of a Tree. You have a new lease on life.

I love Boalt, but I hate Cal. I will never root for the Bears when they play Stanford even if I end up at Berkeley, which looks like a strong possibility at this point.

These numbers are promising. I have a 3.6 and I'll be applying next year, hoping to crack the 170s. I guess my 3.6 might not be too low for Berkeley.

Congrats to everyone on your admissions!!!

Have we looked for a geographic patter in his calls yet? East to west?

I'm in California and got a call at 9:03 AM...probably right when the office opened. So I don't think it's geographical.

My numbers and dates are listed above but I am in NorCal and got the call sometime around 12:30 (I don't remember the exact time. Was too busy telling mom and friends.).

EDIT: 12:27 pm PST call.

I GOT THE PHONE CALL TODAY AND MISSED IT WHILE I WAS @ WORK BUT CALLED BACK DURING LUNCH TIME!!!

NEVER in my life would I have thought that a school like Berkeley would want me. Getting that call today really validated all of my hard work and dozens of people telling me I would never be able to do it. I called Dean Tom back and he was so nice and told me that he's sorry for not calling me a second time but that he's extremely busy (which is very understandable). He told me he's flying me out for ASW so I get to meet all the cool people on TLS that will have been accepted by then hopefully!!!

TREMENDOUS HONOR!! Dean Tom seemed like a really nice guy over the phone and very understanding that I could only blurt "OMG" and "WHAT AN HONOR" a billion times. He also mentioned that many students dont call him back so if you miss the call make sure to CALL HIM BACK. It's a nice gesture to always return a call, ESPECIALLY TO BERKELEY!!!!! I cant wait to go to California. Ive never been and Im super stoked!

To those that have people in their lives that tell them they cant do or accomplish something NEVER believe them. Always keep pushing and always keep your head up because miracles happen and dreams DO come true.

THANK YOU BERKELEY AND CONGRATS TO ALL OF THOSE ACCEPTED!!!

Haha your posts are always so enthusiastic. I love it. So would you pick Cal over your "dream school" UT?

Feel free to call me crazy, but I don't think there is a geographic pattern - more like a completion date pattern. I seem to recall the first call from this morning (around 9AM PST) was to a candidate from Los Angeles. College student = too early / In the workforce = already at work.
Just a thought...

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
