I hear their soil science program hopped into the Top 10 this year, though

CC / CU are the only schools in Colorado that were attractive to me. CC for the size and academics and CU for Boulder.

Same. I spent several weekends a month in Boulder, but I just loved the Block Plan at CC too much. Taking multiple classes at a time next year....downgrade.Kronk wrote:CC / CU are the only schools in Colorado that were attractive to me. CC for the size and academics and CU for Boulder.

Mine was a I-don't-want-to-have-to-visit-my-insanely-conservative-family-members-in-the-Springs decision. Haha. But the block system is pretty awesome and a major pull. More schools should pick it up.

is the springs generally a very conservative area, or is your family sort of an anomaly?Kronk wrote:Mine was a I-don't-want-to-have-to-visit-my-insanely-conservative-family-members-in-the-Springs decision. Colorado Springs is extremely conservative. And one of the biggest cities in Colorado (I think 2nd behind Denver but I could be wrong). Actually, most of Colorado is pretty moderate-conservative except for Boulder and Denver counties.somewhatwayward wrote:is the springs generally a very conservative area, or is your family sort of an anomaly?Kronk wrote:Mine was a I-don't-want-to-have-to-visit-my-insanely-conservative-family-members-in-the-Springs decision. Good to hear that you're packing (digital) heat. By the way, thanks for bumping the thread. You know Cardinal-watchers get antsy on Fridays around 8:30 PST. Have a conscience, man!

This. CC is a little liberal enclave in the midst of evangelical and military conservatives.Kronk wrote:Colorado Springs is extremely conservative. Yes. I plan to get one in the middle of class. No basis for this, just trying to think positive.Kretzy wrote:Anyone think more calls are going to go out today?

I plan to get one in the middle of a romantic kiss and immediately answer, and when Dean Deal asks if I was busy, I plan to say "No, I'm not doing anything important" well within earshot of my girlfriend.

I got mine on a Friday at around 10 am EST. I remember, because not only was I terribly hungover, I said "fuck" when the voicemail started right in front of my 78 year old grandma.tintin wrote:do they usually make calls on a friday?

I got the call around 7 PM EST on a Friday. This was back in December, so I don't know if things have changed.
