If this batch is indeed a mix of all three decisions (accept/WL/reject), I am going to lose all confidence in my already-dubious ability to predict anything about the law school admissions process.

If, however, it is just admits or just admits/rejects (no WLs), I'll regain faith in my abilities.

Thought I'd share my musings.

Lions and tigers and bears, oh, my. :| I guess those of us who didn't have changes won't be hearing anything.

My status changed from 12/31 to 01/13. Judging from Twitter, they must have looked at the file during their Committee meeting today. Good luck to everyone tomorrow!

Here's a weird one for all of you:

My status checker must have changed yesterday-the one day that I didn't pay attention to it  -but it changed to 12/31/09.

Now, it is my sincere hope that there was a drunk adcomm checking out my app on New Year's Eve who decided that it would be really funny to let me in, but I don't think this is the case.

Does anyone else suddenly have a 12/31/09 date?

good luck everyone!!!

I didn't get an update on 12/31, but I did email an adcom on New Year's Eve and got a reply within a half hour (awesome). So they were def. in the office and could have been reviewing your file.

The best of luck to everyone today. Chicago would be an awesome place to spend the next three years.

Here's an article to read on the new Dean while you await "The Call".

it's almost worse to know that they're calling today, because i sit around at work with my phone next to me and my palms sweating all day.

+1. Except I have the day off from school (No classes Tuesday or Thursday) and instead of enjoying it, I am staring at my phone willing it to ring

At least it's not an interview.

All you have to say is: omg, omg, omg, omg, thank you, bye.

So I'm assuming they wait until after lunch to start contacting people?

actually, what do you say? the one call i got (penn) was super awkward on my end. 'oh...wow...thanks! no really, thanks! thank you! no, um...i have no questions. really?! thanks!'

i don't know if there's any intelligent way to handle those phone calls.

+1... At least UVA asks you to call them so you can prepare yourself.

Yeah, I wonder if you are supposed to maintain composure and calm or if they want to hear you excited.

The key is to play it super cool.... "Oh I got in?... well... cool I guess... I mean... whatever." You can't be too easy.

And there's always the "It's about damn time" or even better the "Hello.... I've been expecting you..."

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
