Re: TLS c/o 2021 Applicants Thread
Just for shits and giggles, how soonish do people find out about their fates at t14s if they submit early January and are at above 75th%s? Super generally asking whether there’s a decision by end of April.

Re: TLS c/o 2021 Applicants Thread
Nvm answered my dumb question by plugging in stats on lawschoolnumbers - there was maybe one or two people but seemed to be a turn around time of about two months. I know this is premature but trying to figure out when to quit job, plan vacation, etc for next summer.clueless801 wrote:Just for shits and giggles, how soonish do people find out about their fates at t14s if they submit early January and are at above 75th%s? I listed my "institution GPA" since it's slightly higher than my LSAC GPA, but I made sure it was explicitly stated exactly which GPA it was. I've read about some people getting into hot water by presenting their major GPA/institutional GPA without explanation.blackmamba8 wrote:Should I include my GPA on my resume, and if so, which one? My university GPA is much lower than my current LSAC GPA. I also sent in updated transcripts so I'm not 100% sure what my LSAC GPA actually is now. I don't want to wait to submit until I get my updated GPA, but I also don't want to put an incorrect one. Any thoughts?

I did the same. I think I phrased it as my "Final University GPA"Slippin' Jimmy wrote:I listed my "institution GPA" since it's slightly higher than my LSAC GPA, but I made sure it was explicitly stated exactly which GPA it was. The really egregious offense is estimating your LSAC gpa and using that number in correspondenceSlippin' Jimmy wrote:I listed my "institution GPA" since it's slightly higher than my LSAC GPA, but I made sure it was explicitly stated exactly which GPA it was. Got my first acceptance tonight, from my state school. It feels good to have an option, and to get an acceptance as my first response.

I plan on submitting my first application early next week.
Is it now or 1L that the existential crisis starts? Asking for a friend.

I’m conflicted - I recently made my profile private on mylsn just because I already had a friend figure out who I was
I planned on making it public for a data point in the late spring, but not sure about during the cycle

I'm doing the same FWIW. I think it's totally fair to input your results to improve mylsn for future generations, but keep it private for now. It's not like your results will help anyone in the current cycle anyways.principalagent wrote:I’m conflicted - I recently made my profile private on mylsn just because I already had a friend figure out who I wasI planned on making it public for a data point in the late spring, but not sure about during the cycle

Crap. I did this because I wasn't able to purchase CAS until last Wednesday. I'd emailed schools asking for a fee waiver, thinking it couldn't be that different, but my LSAC GPA was a good .09 points lower than my final institutional GPA. :/ should I do something to rectify this?chargers21 wrote:The really egregious offense is estimating your LSAC gpa and using that number in correspondenceSlippin' Jimmy wrote:I listed my "institution GPA" since it's slightly higher than my LSAC GPA, but I made sure it was explicitly stated exactly which GPA it was. So you used your actual undergrad gpa and didn't try to represent it as your lsac gpa? If so, you should be finelittlelibertine wrote:Crap. That's correct. I used my undergrad GPA as it's shown upon my final transcript. okay whewchargers21 wrote:So you used your actual undergrad gpa and didn't try to represent it as your lsac gpa? If literally any one of my LOR writers would upload the letter that would be great, wish I could be applying today but that does not look like great option without letters.

Non-chronological PS (and likely some grammar issues)

LSAC doing it's nightly crash. Honestly the only plus to the GRE I see is that it might force LSAC to stop being such a trash organization.

I am trying to get all my apps out by November 1, but I still have to craft a new PS, and I have no idea what to write about.
Also one of my schools I'm applying to requests a submission letter from the Dean of my undergrad re: misconduct??
Gonna feel real stupid to request this from the Dean over a minor dorm noise complaint that went on my record.

Anyone else having trouble accessing LSU's application on the LSAC website? It says there are no active applications for the school right now so I'm not sure what to do lol
